Was really inventive and tasty mix of tomato soup, chicken and ramen. I got the original with added cheese. The service was great and overall a very satisfying meal. Would like to go bavk and try something else one day.

This place was hard to find so I’m going to first provide directions here. The restaurant itself is located on the 7th floor of the«My Lord» building in Shinjuku station. Note that there are several different buildings with separate elevator banks and only the«My Lord» elevators will take you there. You should see the elevator banks in the building between the JR line entrances and the Tokyo Metro entrances. Okay now to the food. I’m not a huge fan of regular soup ramen but I do love some tsukemen. However, I did want to give this place a try because it was unique. The tomato ramen was interesting and actually pretty good. It’s something like a cross between ramen, spaghetti(they even give you a grated cheese topping on the side), and a Vietnamese tomato-based soup dish called Bun Rieu. I ordered the bowl with chicken, fluffy egg(they were out of the soft boil egg), and a side of grated cheese. Flavors went together well and I had no trouble finishing the bowl. I think it’s a good concept but they can definitely improve on the flavor profile. The tomato base was a bit sweet and Campbell’s-tomato-soup like for my tastes. Nothing wrong with Campbell’s at all btw. One of my favorite meals is dipping a grilled cheese sandwich in some artificial-tasting Campell’s tomato goodness. I think they should change the flavor profile more towards Bun Rieu with real tomato chunks and some crab flavor. However, I may be exhibiting some obvious Vietnamese bias here. If you’re a fan of ramen and tomato spaghetti, and want to eat both at the same time in one bowl, you’ll probably enjoy this place.

Delicious ramen! During the summer, they have an ice tomato ramen special. Definitely do try it out. Sweet and sour and a flavor that you won’t get in western countries. I really enjoyed my meal here and despite being a foreigner, they were very patient and kind and tried to communicate with me about the choices. If I get a chance to come back to Shinjuku, I’m heading straight to this restaurant.

The tomato ramen I tried here was delicious! I was staying at a hotel in shinjuku and my friend recommended that I try out tomato ramen while in tokyo. After doing some searching on google I stumbled across this place and decided to check it out. I didn’t know what to expect for the flavor but I found that it was very similar to pasta. Definitely recommend this place! The only downside is that they don’t have an English menu or speak much English but if you are good with picking something from the menu by a picture/display then you should be good to go and should try it out.

Wow, first meal in Japan and we stumbled upon this place. I thought it was gimmicky at first with tomato paste and ramen but after the first bite, realized it was genuinely good. Great service and very well priced!
