We couldn’t leave Japan without having some traditional shabu shabu! Came in late to avoid a wait, but still waited around 30 minutes for a seat. After sitting down, my friend suggested the all you can eat set, but I saw the wagyu set for a couple hundred more yen so I thought, why not? However, it was not ayce as I thought it would be(damn language barrier) so we literally got three pieces of wagyu. It does come with a full set though, so we also got crab legs, appetizer platter with cream cheese, bean sprouts, mashed potatoes, sushi, and more. The cream cheese blocks were kind of weird– people just eat cream cheese in its own here. Hm. It also came with noodles and a dessert of choice, which was a good deal overall if you are looking for prime quality meat. We also ordered more meat on the side– beef, pork, chicken, and pork belly. Everything was delicious– great cuts and quality of the meat. We were so satisfied! We ordered a half spicy half traditional broth, and the spicy base was too viscous so we mixed the two to make a delicious soup. After finishing our food, we also got noodles to dip in our soup and eat. For dessert, we tried a variety of their dishes– and all were yummy! Our favorite was the red bean ice cream sandwich, so definitely get that, and stay away from the green tea ice cream– tastes icy and icky. The quality of shabu definitely surpasses what I’ve had in the states. I heard this was one of the top 12 shabu restaurants in Tokyo, and I can definitely see why. Wish I could have returned to try their ayce, but hopefully there’s a next time!

Two words: MUST-TRY! Amazing shabu that changed my life! It’s all you can eat for around $ 43 per person. The beef was amazing with a pot that splits to give you two choices of soup base. I liked both the soy and regular, but the regular tonkatsu more. At the end they serve dessert — which I suggest not to order the green tea because it just tasted like ice. Everything else is good to go! haha. They offer such amazing meat that melts in your mouth, that you MUSTMUST try! What did stand out to me is that they give you a larger chopstick to grab the raw meat with into the pot so it doesn’t dirty your chopsticks that you eat the cooked meat with — very sanitary! Also, don’t be afraid of the egg in your sauce plate — stir it up with your sauces and it makes an amazing dipping sauce for your meat: P
