I am a HUGE macaroon fan so naturally, I HAD to make a beeline for the store once I got out of Shinjuku station. YES, its in the same building technically. The macaroons were soft and delightful with just the right amount of crunch on the shell. It was good. Blew all the other macaroons I’ve had away. I WASINMACAROONHEAVEN… mmmm! For the price though, it wouldn’t be on my daily dessert menu for sure lol… even the famous macaroon keychain was like $ 100 usd. but really, you are paying for the gorgeous packaging and the ambience of the place. You FEEL like a queen just sitting in their chair! One side note: they don’t allow pictures which is REALLYLAME!

The no photo policy here is ridiculous. You want people to want your products and not allowing them to take photos is bad marketing. While I understand that Laduree doesn’t really need the promotion, the lack of photos prevents people like myself, who would have not known about it(once again, Gemma sniffed this place out) from ever finding about this place. There wasn’t a line but there was still a wait to get our food. They had two actual areas to purchase from, one was the macaroons and the other was the nice cream. Let me tell you that Gem is lactose intolerant and practically allergic to everything yet she still manages to want to «taste» everything. This leaves me to eat everything so she can have a few bites. That is why I am a pro at desserts lol. We bought the pistachio ice cream with macaroon crumbles and raspberry/chocolate drizzle. We ordered a small because the photo«made items look larger» than real life. This serving was tiny. The cup was built in a way that it’s lifted and there is good gap between the bottom of the cup and where the ice cream looks like it’s filled. Does that make sense? Imagine thinking you bought a venti Starbucks but the inside of the cup was actually a tall. That’s the best example I can come up with. So, here comes this small ice cream cup that tastes like sour yogurt with crunchy macaroons. It wasn’t my favorite dessert and Gem left me to finish it. I know I could have thrown it away but I’m not wasteful. Expensive but you crazy women love it.

Visiting Laduree locations are always a treat for the senses! I was so happy to see there was a location nearby my hotel and what made it special was that it served soft serve! Yum! When I got there, there was only chocolate left and I opted for raspberry sauce and raspberry macaron crumble. The crumble was crisp. What a genius idea for broken macaron cookies! While I was ordering my soft serve the employee told me it was there last day serving ice cream because the machine wasw broken. Hopefully they get it up and running soon! It was a delcious treat. While you are there, you can purchase macarons and other gift items.

Soft serve can be a hit or miss in other places, but Ladurée not only offers great toppings and flavours, the generous serving won’t make you feel too full or even sick after devouring. I wish they had an actual café, though. With one of the world’s biggest transportation hubs AND inside Lumine shopping center, this particular Ladurée branch reminds me of a fast food joint.

I love Ladureé and everything about it. Ornate pastries that not only look incredible but taste even better than their appearance. The Orange Blossom Religieuse was out of this world! It just blows me away at how perfect their desserts are all around. This is the fourth country I have had their pastries in but their shop in Tokyo has to be my all time favorite because they also offer soft serve ice cream!!! This is the only Ladureé store in the world that offers soft serve!!! I love Tokyo, I love Ladureé, and I’m loving my life right about now! :P

This was a surprising find here in Tokyo. I say that because I passed by the station everyday for a week and did not notice this French treasure was in the Shinjuku Station! I came here late in the evening and knew I had to get some macarons. They were AMAZING! Soft, chewy, and bursting with flavor. I couldn’t have asked for anything more. The staff was extremely friendly especially with me using English and broken Japanese. The area is a small location relatively speaking, but the décor is really great and there’s some seating in case you want to hang out for a bit. Since it is the train station, it is busy and the amount of foot traffic can be a bit overwhelming. Anyway, if you get the chance to see Laduree, stop here and grab something. You will not regret it!

Although line looked long/place looked busy, service was fast and efficient and found a table easily to sit and savour our macarons. Been to the ones in Paris&London and this is my 1st one in Asia! Yay Laduree!

I’ve been to several Ladurée stores in Paris, Hong Kong, and NY but this chain(it’s found on the first floor of Lumine Est department store in Shinjuku) is the only Ladurée that offers ice cream take out! I had the rose flavored ice cream with raspberry, lychee, and macaron crunch toppings which was really delicious! Usually I dislike eating anything with rose flavor because it tastes like perfume or air freshner but this ice cream had a very delicate flavor that I enjoyed it very much. There are 2 small tables and 1 long table in the dining area but the ambiance is pretty casual compared to their super posh Ginza chain. Each macaron is less than ¥300 and the pastries are around ¥900.
