This restaurant serves many noodle(ramen and udon) several rice dishes. Typical broth ramen dishes with usually a slice of pork on top are very good, I had the ramen with sesame oil added and just impressed with the thick, flavorful soup, noodle itself was more firm than I was used to, still tasty nonetheless. Rice options were katsu type, saw some with pork and chicken options. Recommend for the food. Location is across one corner of the Shinjuku Uniqlo and you see huge pictures of ramen dishes and a sign with prices outside, you would then walk down narrow and small stairs to the basement level for non-smoking or one level below that for smoking. Thankfully the smoking section was smoke-free when I visited around 9pm on a weekday. Most restaurants I’d been too so far may have separate non-smoking sections but had strong smells of smoke regardless, seems to be the norm unfortunately but not this place! Sitting area itself are counters along walls and counter stools. You’d buy your meal option from a vending machine, then hand the dispensed coupon to the staff, take a host prepped seat or find an empty if they’re occupied and wait for your meal to come in 5 – 10 mins. Note: will be a challenge if you have large luggage or bags, or kids due to tight space. Prices good for this shopping madhouse area, about 700‑1000 yen for a dish. Good and recommended for those looking for a yummy, inexpensive, fast, Japanese meal and a place many locals go to as well judging by the crowd I saw.
