This restaurant was one of the best dining experiences of my life. The sushi is as fresh as it gets and is extremely well prepared. Inose is such a nice guy and very creative. The seared toro(his special creation) was very, very amazing. Also the negitoro(toro w/negi — like an onion — wrapped in seaweed, looks like a spicy tuna roll sort of) might be my favorite of all time. Couple that with a very hospitable, friendly atmosphere and it simply doesn’t get any better. Go there and I promise you will thank me. Bang for buck is great by the way. Cost will be 7000 to 10000 yen and they ONLY take cash. Only 10 seats so make reservations. There is a small private room in back that might seat 8 or so as well.

As all the other reviews will tell you, this place is a must. The food is only half the experience as the owner and his wife will truly change your perspective on dining with their hospitality and enthusiasm to share their life stories and ask about yours. Don’t skip out on trying to start a conversation with them or the other customers! And of the course, the sushi is as fresh and delicious as it can get!

Omg. My husband and I are very impressed. It was our first omakase experience and a great one at that– the price for the two of us came out to around $ 140USD which is what some places in America charge for one person. The quality of the fish were so fresh, the sushi rice was perfect, and the chef of this mom and pop shop was so fun to interact with even though there was still clearly a language barrier. Of note, I barely used soy sauce, which in America is a must to block out fishy flavors! The variety was perfect and we walked out of there feeling just right– not too stuffed but definitely very full. My husband wants to go back before we leave.

One of the best experiences we had in Tokyo. Super affordable and fun evening. Trust me make a reservation(through your hotel if you are a foreigner) and just let them give you food. If you don’t like something just tell him.

One of the best sushi that I have had. Make reservation. Sushi and drinks will be around USD80 – 100. They do not speak English. There is no menu, so prepare to be adventurous. The quality of the fish and other seafood used was one of the best we have had.

Best sushi in Tokyo, and so kind chef, his wife are awesome. If you go there in lunch time they will serve kaisenn-don in low cost.(Weekday lunch time is better because not busy and you don’t have to reserve.) Dinner sushi course is really worth to pay, and reservation is essential.
