This is the biggest Kinokuniya bookstore I’ve ever been to! Several floors of books, books, and more books! The sixth floor is where the English language books are. They have guidebooks, novels, children’s books. They also sell postcards, which is what I was looking for. There was also free wifi here too.

This bookstore is massive — obviously tons of Japanese titles books, manga, magazines, etc. But there’s also a decent selection of foreign language books too. Bookworms can spend hours here!

The BEST place to find English and other foreign language books and publications. The whole 6th floor is now just foreign books, and is the largest selection of foreign books in all of Japan. You can easily spend a good chunk of the day in there. Sign up for their point card which seems to a add up quickly.

This is my kids’ favorite bookshop. I used to go to Shinjuku Station East Exit Kinokuniya, but they enjoys visiting this takashimaya with friends. Now I feel Takashimaya Kinokuniya is better for kids too — easy parking, more spacious, fewer people, and bright. I enjoy reading my books there and enjoy watching my kids digging their favorite books in there too. Choosing books with kids in a real book shop is more fun than clicking buying books buttoms on internet. This Kinokuniya probably has the largest selection of new English books and magazines in Tokyo. You can order books that you cannot find on the shelves thru the online system in stores as well. It also carries DVDs and a little part of stationary like bookmarks. Don’t forget to sign up their membership system.
