Great soba noodles after a long cold day of hiking at shrines and temples. Great service and they have an English menu. I got the chicken and soba noodles and my partner got the tempura soba. Rice tea is amazing.

I love this sorba place. They have home made sorba and the best tasting sorba I have tasted outside of Shinagawa place my Sony colleague took me to run by a elderly Japanese couple. They would boil fish bones and prepare the broth one day in advance. This place the sorba is great however the broth is not as good as Shinagawa！

After visiting Kiyomizu-​dera we needed lunch!
Ukiya offered a comfortable location close to the temple, cold beer and delicious noodles. They have an English menu, but the Japanese menu has pictures and more items to choose from, so look at both.
I got the cold noodle combo with tempura. The tempura was great and not too greasy. The cold noodles were perfect.
The hot noodle soup with pickled fish was quite a surprise and very delicious. Great broth, rich and flavorful.
4200 yen was a little expensive for lunch, but we were tired and hungry. I’d recommend it!
