The Gion Apartment

What a little more room when you travel in Japan? Then you need to check out the various vacation rentals in the areas that you travel to. That is what I did and spending a week in the Gion Apartment was perfect in so many ways for our needs.
Having a fully finished apartment to come back to and use after a day exploring Kyoto made our visit and stay even better. Very relaxing and room to unpack a bit and just be more comfortable than in a hotel. This apartment is at the south end of the Gion district, so not really touristy but close enough that you can experience that if you want. Also close to main bus lines and subways. Also there are a number of lovely places to eat and other convinces just a block or so away.
The apartment has a washer/​dryer combo which was easy to use and very convent. The kitchen area is fully stocked with utensils and needed items. So this presents the possibility of cooking a bit with all the great local ingredients. Also, making breakfast and lunch in the apartment helped us save a bit of money. The whole place is very comfortable, clean, quiet and modern. I loved the enclosed shower/​bath area.
Management is responsive helpful and the price is very reasonable. I will not hesitate to stay here again if/​when I return to Kyoto. And I’ll be sure to let any friends heading there know about this great little place.
