followed the previous Unilocal review, and Ramentoudai did not disappoint! The size of the portion was perfect, the broth tasty and not too rich, and the noodles toothsome. Had the gyoza too — served with line and black pepper. Very efficient operation. A great lunch. Will definitely have tro check some of the other ramen places on this 10th floor — especially others with long lines

Super legit ramen inside Kyoto station. Located on the 10th floor of the iSetan in the designated Ramen Restaurant area. There isn’t really a sign that says the name but we just asked around and showed the Unilocal listing to have people help us find it. Like every other place on that floor — pay at machine first then wait in line. This machine is to the left of the restaurant entrance. Get the special with the ramen and the gyoza side. The ramen here is soy sauce based. Goes great with a beer. There are a bowl of raw eggs at your table — feel free to crack in an egg, preferably just the yolk to flavor your noodles or dip your meat in.

My bowl of ramen was delicious! The broth wasn’t too thick and the noodles were cooked perfectly. The gyoza with the yuzu lemon squeezed over it was to die for!

Of the ramen floor ramen shops in Kyoto, this one was more my style. This one comes with the option of just adding a raw egg at your pleasing from your seat. Totally welcomed. This basically thickened the broth and coated the noodles much better. Sadly the noodles were only so so on their own. At some points I would say poorly prepared though. At one point I got an entire bunch of noodle all sort of squeezed together and stuck prior to cook, so it just was a large dough mass in my soup with danglies. Nonetheless, the broth was decently spiced and I also got a soft boiled egg as well(I love eggs in food if you can tell). I wouldn’t say it was the greatest ramen but again much better than what I was used to back home. I would come back again.
