Very nice restaurant! The service is very nice, they can speak a little bit of English. Their menu with Kobe beef is from 17.000 yen to 20.000 yen ! It’s kinda expensive but if you go in Japan you cannot miss this meat! Kobe beef are the best steak ! The chief cooks in front of you and he is very friendly !

We visited Japan last week. By far this was one of my favorite restaurants. The chef was amazing and the Kobe beef was the highlight of our lunch. Garlic chips and mustard was so good. Hope one day I can make it back!

We had an awesome dinner tonight! We wanted REAL Kobe Beef and we got it. Great for English speakers. We used google maps to get us to the corner, once there it’s on the fifth floor of the building. Enter elevator off the main shopping street.

We found this place in search for Kobe steak without going to Kobe. Best teppanyaki EVER, no clown show, just highly skilled cooking skill. The chief cooked the garlic into crispy chips to compliment the heavenly marbled Kobe beef. If it matters to you, the menu has certificates for the authencity of the beef. The appetizer, salad and vegetables are all impeccable. Very expensive(over $ 150 per person) and it’s worth every penny.

One word. Kobe. Japan is a country where you can seek out extravagant versions of everyday goods — from exquisitely constructed kimono to imported expertise on beer, breads and engineering. Kobe Steak is the epitome of that. Much can be said about Kobe Steak, from folklore(cows are fed beer and massaged constantly) to facts(in order to be considered true«Kobe» steak, it must be certified as such). But the main question — if visiting Kobe is not part of the agenda, where can one find Kobe steak? Kobe Misono in Kyoto has you covered. Let’s be honest — it’s expensive. A 150g course(about 1⁄3 lb) will be about $ 130, while the same size course for the A4 and A5 grade might run around $ 85& $ 95, respectively. But DAMN. It’s good. REALLY good. My god. The FATTINESS. I know«melt in your mouth» is a little cliché … but really, that’s about the best way to relate. The texture and flavor of the meat is really quite indescribable — it’s hard to truly convey the experience of eating Kobe beef. When ordering it, though, it should either be medium-rare or rare. Otherwise, it’s overcooked and you’re honestly better off having some other much cheaper grade of meat.(I’m normally a medium person, and I MUCH preferred the rare to the medium-rare pieces.) Service is wonderful — watching it cooked teppanyaki style always adds to the entertainment, and each order of lobster is rewarded with a miso soup developed from the head of the lobster. Throughout the meal, the courses are full of flavor, yet well-balanced and delicious. If you manage to find yourself in Kyoto, oh-so-close to Kobe, but can’t find the time to squeeze in a trip to try the infamous Kobe beef, Kobe Misono is absolutely a great place to experience the sensation that is «Kobe beef».
