I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Centnovum. I really liked the location, as it’s adjacent to Kyoto Station and only a few minute’s walk. We arrived 5 hours before check-in and it wasn’t a problem to leave our baggage there so we could walk around freely. In fact, they even delivered our stuff to our room prior to our arrival. Our room was a bit dated but it was very clean and a lot more spacious than our digs in Tokyo, for sure! We had 2 beds and a little lounge area. The bathroom could fit 2 people(vs 1.25 in Tokyo, LOL) and the shower was hot with good water pressure. Other things to note: –I didn’t see any gym or pool facilities, but there are some banquet areas. –The ladies toilets in the lobby are the squatting kinds(not to worry, the toilets in the rooms are the usual Japanese toilets.) –You can buy postage stamps for postcards at the front desk. –Free wifi is offered, though a bit tricky to find. Can also be spotty.
