Great Irish bar in central Kyoto. As well as Guinness and Kilkenny on-tap, they have a fantastic selection of whisk(e)y including Japanese as well as Irish blended and single malts. The owner/manager even showed me his private selection of reserve booze. Come early for happy hour(5−7pm). Cheers/Kanpai/Sláinte

One of my favorite Irish pub is this one. The location is near to Hotel Okura, and the Kawaramachi Oike. I usually go there with my friends who love beers, and of course fish and chips. Whenever I go there I see foreigners in the first floor enjoying beers. The first floor has tall tables with three to four chairs to sit. The Irish music is lauder at the first floor. I usually go to the second floor, as there is a terrace. I like this terrace seat during spring till autumn as it has good breeze and view. It’s nice to feel the breeze and enjoy the beer there. The clerk will come to the table for the order. The order will be fast and the food here are nice that sometimes I come here for dinner and for a drink after dinner. There are many menu, but my favorite are the fish and chips. The fried fish is really big that I eat it with my friends. One beer is more then 600 yen so it cost more then local beers but they have nice selection of Guinness beers, Belgium beers, German beers and other tasty beers. The pug holds live Irish music on every Friday. There will be a fiddler, guitars and bodhran players for the live. And also this pub was used in some Japanese drama called«Kaken no Onna» and other ones. The pub has a nice interior at both floors. I also like the sofa seat right in front the bar, in the second floor.
