Tantanmen(Spicy Sesame Ramen) is one of my absolute favorite things on this planet. I’ve eaten at many different places and as of now, Goma Goma tops my list as the best I’ve had. The first time I ate there I was able to get right in the door, the second time I went I arrived shortly after the doors opened and had to wait almost an hour to get in. Was it worth it, you bet! The tsukemen(ramen dipping noodles) here is wonderful. The shop itself is VERYVERY small. With the fan setup in the corner, and chef behind the counter there is room for only 6 people to fit in this cramped space. I don’t recommend you come here to chat with your friends or enjoy a leisurely meal. You should show up hungry, buy your ticket, sit down, eat your tsukamen, and get out so the next person gets a chance. The soup itself it amazing, usually I order a black sesame soup, but on my first visit chef gave me a small sample of the white sesame to try. I was simply blown away at the wonderful rich flavors he is able to create in this space. You can choose from a variety of levels of spice and then add as much fresh ground sesame as you like. I can say that each time I have eaten here I have left with a full belly and a very happy smile on my face. I will be returning here again without any doubt in my mind.
