Stopped here for breakfast. Had toasted banana bread and tea. Friendly service, quick and comfortable. ¥100 rainy day discount!

The coffee was pretty good! I got single origin drip coffee because they don’t have soy or almond milk and I can’t handle normal milk. Really wanted a latte but the black coffee was delicious. I was recommended the banana bread; it was similar to a brick toast and went well with the coffee. My brother ordered some ham and cheese sandwich thing and it was pretty average; not too good, not too bad. The staff was really helpful and they have an English menu!

Stopped in for a coffee while staying in the area. Pretty standard iced coffee but service was quick and efficient, coffee is delicious. Very strong and good even without cream. I’m sure their lattes and other options are tasty although I didn’t try them. Giving it a 5 because they had lots of seating indoors and out, and the atmosphere was lovely.

Good coffee and great Oreo muffin. Minus a star since the set breakfast took 15 minutes and was a little dry also seemed a bit like a chain but was good!

Good coffee and tea, good breakfast options. We had the croque monsieur and the egg sandwich. The croque was good but needed mustard and the egg sandwich was a bit dry, but also tasty.

The coffee was nice, and the food items were lovely. We had lunch here(sandwiches) — the tuna and the Mexican(minced meat). Both sandwiches came with some side salads. They tasted nice but weren’t anything extraordinary. We also got a cinnamon roll which was just again nothing special. There’s a lot of other pastry choices(oreo muffin) that might have been a better choice. There’s loads of seating space and a toilet in the back. You could get some work/reading done here if needed. If you check-in on Unilocal you get a discount on drinks!

Finally made it here. This place is really great. The atmosphere and ambiance is good and it’s comfy. It was almost full when we got there but it was pretty quite compared to other caffe. Wifi is also available and prices are really affordable. I was battling to either get the blueberry muffin or the oreo muffin, really a difficult decision: p. I decided to get the Oreo muffin, it was good. It was late in the afternoon already so I decided not to get a coffee or cocoa. After we checked in using Unilocal app, we noticed we can get a discount on the drinks, Yippe, I can use it next time. I’m excited to try their Hot cocoa. The rule is to order first before taking a table/seat which is really nice. First come first serve basis is always good. Looking forward to my next visit here.

Located in the very trendy and stylish area of Kita-Horie this is a great place to chill out. Daisuke has been recognized as the best latte artist… in the world. The trophy is to your immediate left when you walk into the spot. Not into coffee art… no problem. Me, myself… not even a coffee drinker and there are plenty of beverages and dishes to get you squared away. However if I can recommend one thing… the Oreo muffins… N-I-C-E :-) WiFi is available(and the speed is nice) in addition to outside seating to enjoy the weather on a sunny day. Yet arguable the best thing about this place is the décor, atmosphere and location… really cool ;-) Check out MONDIALKAFFEE… you will not be disappointed.

Great atmosphere, award winning latte art(and espressos), delectable brunch/pastry options, and %Arabica beans from Kyoto. I’ve never really though of Osaka as a big coffee town, but between this place and the likes of Giracha, All Day Coffee, and Ogawa Coffee, Osaka has a pretty solid coffee foundation sure to satisfy any enthusiast’s caffeine craving. Mondial reminds me of all the brunch establishments back home in California, but with one noticeable difference – I’m not standing outside in the street with a hangover waiting for a ticked-off waitress to call my name and my party of four into the establishment. In fact, Mondial is quite the opposite; the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by a strange yet oddly familiar smile, as if you’ve stepped into the living room of your own home or maybe a close friend or a relative. Walk past the counter and you’ll see a study-esque little corner filled with magazines and books about all things coffee; a couple steps further and you’re magically in your parent’s old house, with the quilted leather love seats, the funky colored taxidermy, and the odd ice-cream chest which contains no ice cream. Confusing and vivid imagery aside, the establishment is very comfortable and inviting despite all its quirks; the coffee is pretty solid, the scone tasted great, and the air conditioning was a godsend amidst the 33 degree temperature outside. Will definitely be back for brunch next time I’m in town.

This is the type of café I’ve been looking forward to visiting ever since my arrival in Osaka a few days ago. And, it doesn’t disappoint! Love the ease of the surroundings, the décor, the music. Great to complement with the simple breakfast of their morning set –sandwich to pair with a drink of your choice, at 600JPY per set. Although pricier than average café, it is worth the yen! Awesome place to sit in the when I needed to get some writing done.

Big café with a mish mash kind of style. I feel they want to be hipster but added a commercial a flavor with the furniture. On to the real goods, the coffee. The coffee is good. Not great. A solid, good job. By the taste and general vibes I wouldn’t say they’re experts of the mighty bean but I’d be hard pressed to believe if these guys do you wrong. Drink up, caffeine hunting friends.

A really cool non-smoking coffee specialty café in Osaka that opened in 2014. I first learned about Mondial Kaffee 328 from Espresso machine distributor’s blog that talked about how they installed the first Slayer machine in Osaka at this shop. Slayer machine is a super high-end machine hand crafted in Seattle. I choose to visit cafes with Slayer machine not because its performance is so much more superior to other machines, but because I know that shops that decided to invest in such expensive machine really cares about their coffee. My assumption was confirmed as Mondial as well. The store owner, who is a skilled espresso artist, really knew his stuff. He actively competes various espresso competitions and has awards. I visited here two days in a row during my trip to Osaka because I really enjoyed spending time at this café. SPACE: Fairly spacious and very comfortable. You can easily spend hours here with a laptop. Wifi is free, but they had only a few power outlets. They have both regular table seats and sofa seating. They even have foosball table with a glass top so that you can place your cup on top of it and enjoy the game. Décor is trendy and cool. They proudly display the lid of the MDF shipper box with SLAYER logo. COFFEE: I tried both their espresso drinks and their dripped coffee. Although espresso was very good, I was even more impressed by their dripped coffee. They of course drip each cup at a time after placement of the order. On the day I went, I was able to choose from three types of beans. FOOD: I had their muffin and scone, but I was much more impressed by their scone. Very tasty. OVERALL: In the«kissa-ten» culture of Osaka, there are many old school coffee shops that serves excellent tasting coffee, but many of these establishments are very smoky. It is rare to find all non-smoking coffee shop like Mondial in Osaka. I highly recommend this place.
