Had a delicious Green Tea Latte here. Loved it! Good service, not too pricy. Good ambience with nice jazz music playing in the background. A solid place to have some good coffee.

It’s located in very convenient place from shopping area of Shinsaibashi and near from Shinsaibashi station. A small shop but good smell of coffee and so many types. Had Good blend café latte. I will definitely bring my mum who loves coffee.

My favorite coffee spot in Minami, open late for my after gym coffee time. The staff are fun and love coffee more than anyone I’ve met. Stop in for a cup and some conversation, in Japanese everyday and English when Shown is working. Try the East Timor, it is excellent hot or cold. The shop is cool too, with all the logo and signage done by an amazing graphic designer. You can even pick up logo cups, shirts and bags or even some beans for home brewing!

I really, really loved the coffee here — It was great! The menus are super cute and artsy and you get a GIANT mug of a latte if you stay in. The only real food they have is cookies and hot dogs, both of which we didn’t try. The store’s a bit small so seating will be limited and there’s two tables outside if you’d like to sit there.

Lilo Coffee Roasters is so good that I went there three times in two days. I’m not a coffee snob but I do notice when coffee is overly-roasted, bitter, and unbalanced. Unfortunately, this is the way coffee is generally served at the big coffee chains. Well, after making some small talk with the barrista, I found out that Lilo roasts it’s own coffee at least once a week. They’ve provided a chart listing the acidity/sourness(on the Y axis) and strength/flavor(on the X axis). This is a great idea and makes a lot more sense than just listing the tasting notes on the bag, which I can never really taste(e.g., floral, honeydew, caramel, leather, etc.). The first day I ordered a Gibraltar which is basically a traditional cappuccino with approximately equal parts espresso and milk(in other words, not drowned in milk foam so that you can actually taste the coffee underneath). It was delicious. Later that day I ordered a cup of the Ethiopian washed coffee. The brewing method is hand dripped. Interestingly, no paper or cloth filter was used. The filter was a very fine stainless steel mesh(which they sold at the store as well). I hear paper and cloth do impart some taste to the coffee, so the coffee ended up tasting«brighter» than usual. This could’ve been my mind fooling my perceptions with hipster logic, however. I’m a black coffee guy and this cup of coffee was as good as it gets. Would have bought the filter if I had room to carry it with me for the next several weeks. The next day I ordered a Nicaraguan bean and it was also very good, although not to my taste as the first two offerings. Highly recommended. Expect to spend $ 3 to $ 5 for a cup of Joe.

This appears to be a husband and wife team of small coffee shop that is in the Shinsaibashi area. We both had the Domincan coffee as recommended by the nice lady and it was very good. It had a nice acidity and soft smokiness that is quite pleasing. I also had the hot dog which is also quite tasty with a nice snap when you bite into it. I might ask them to go easy on the relish and mustard next time.

Awesome cappuccino, and they do soy milk. Small space, only a few bar stools and a small side table, there’s more space out front to relax. The décor is lovely, hardwood floors and chalk board sings, artisanal beer and chocolate for sale.

Hidden gem. This unassuming café is the real deal, one that knows coffee. I tried a flat white with house blend, very smooth, with perfectly textured milk. They also sell a variety of coffee making equipment, like Aero-press, hand grinders, pour-overs etc and some quality Lilo Coffee Roasters merchandise. The café itself is small and pokey(but in a nice way), with some chilled jazz lightly playing in the background — it’s nice to escape the craziness of the Osaka street scape.

Dope coffee shop find in the seemingly off-putting Amerika-mura area of Osaka. After a month abroad and away from Seattle — my cravings for a solid cold brew, even a drip have been off the charts. After countless cups of coffee from 7/11, Lawson, even the bottled ones in the endless abyss of vending machines all over the country, I resided with fact with Osaka may not have the coffee I’ve been wanting. But this place is an awesome find — although a bit on the smaller side — but again, I’ve probably been spoiled by all the coffee shops I invaded and took up two tables at for hours in college — but everything here is right. Clean & modern aesthetic(so IG worthy!), a wide and varied selection of beans from all over, and a friendly barista(conscious hipster vibez) — I’m so glad to have found it! I can’t say it is a neighborhood coffee shop, especially with the hoards of tourists(myself included) outside and Wiz Khalifa circa 2009 blasting down the street, but a solid place for a good cup of coffee. I also ordered a basil & tuna sandwich — very tasty(albeit a bit oily).

I drink a lot of coffee. This place has very good coffee. You should come drink coffee here. If you like coffee you will not regret coming here for the coffee. I went out of my way twice in two days(once in the rain) for the coffee.

Found this place just off the main street at Shinsaibashi. Amazing coffee, can choose beans from around the world and will grind on the spot and brew for you. I had a latte and it was one of the best I have ever had. A must for any coffee lover! Very highly recommend.

I enjoy seeking out indie coffee places especially on my travels, not only for my personal caffeine fill, but as it makes good gift for my pops who really likes coffee. During my Osaka trip, I excitedly made my way to LiLo after finding out they were still open long after dinner. I think it was LiLo at the counter, who methodically made my cup of coffee and patiently waited as I deliberated over which coffee beans to get. Take-Away: Charming Hip indie coffee shop in Amerikamura area of Osaka. Not cheap by any means, and not sure how it compares with other independent roasters. «Life’s too short to drink bad coffee» is their catchy slogan/label.

Lovely indie coffee spot close to the Dotonburi district. They’ve got beans from all over the world and are big believers in the old saying, «Life’s too short to drink bad coffee». The way they’re brewing, Lilo and friends might just live forever ever. Coffee lovers, this one is for you.

Great speciality coffee! Offers a range of different types; drip, aero press, espresso and so on as well as 10 – 12 different single estates. As good coffee can be rare in Japan, this place really stands out with its hip Scandinavia inspiration

Great little coffee store which we happened to stumble across in Osaka. After many bad coffee experiences in Japan we were glad we found this place which served great coffee. There were many coffee options including many different blends which were also available for sale. I had the latte which was 450yen. It is slightly more expensive than you can get elsewhere however good coffee especially while on holidays is priceless!
