This is Japanese pizza restaurant called OKONOMIYAKI. I heard usually this restaurant was always jam-packed so we came here pm3 on Sunday and we did not wait to get in. I ordered a cooked noodle called Yakisoba and Modan-mix which includes noodles in Pizza. I felt this sauce was a delicate taste and in controlled well. Modern-mix is ¥1,460 and Yakisoba with calamari and pork is ¥1,060. I’d like to come again soon!

I’ll have to agree that this okonomiyaki restaurant is really good. I advise that those who don’t know Japanese to use the plastic molds at the front to order or it’ll be near to impossible for you to order. I can read a little kanji and know furigana so it was much easier for me. As a lone diner, I was seated in a corner instead of the counter surprisingly. The seating areas are very nice and nicely arranged. I liked the atmoaphere! The chef prepared my meal at the counter and a waitress brought over my okonomiyaki to be placed on my own teppan. I was allowed to put as much mayo and seaweed as I wanted so if that’s your thing, have a blast with that! I personally think you’ll gain a lot of happiness by eating Japanese mayo buy what do I know? Mine was a pork okonomiyaki and I believe there was cheese inside because what else gives you that delicious texture? Omg it was delicious! I don’t think it was the best okonomiyaki in Osaka, but it is definitely delicious! The prices are also quite reasonable. I debated on going her or making a stop at mizuno before coming to osaka station but glad I didn’t. Check it out if you’re in the area!

The okonomiyaki here was good. Really good. I dare say it’s even better than Mizuno. This restaurant is located in Lucua. We arrived around 11:20am and were seated without waiting. We ordered the standard popular okonomiyaki along with some draft Asahi beers. The pancakes came cooked but are kept warm on the cooking tables in front of you. Bottles of Kewpie mayo and nori powder are available to add on if desired. The okonomiyaki was excellent. It’s maybe 8 inches in diameter and the ingredients all felt fresh. Overall, the okonomiyaki was a decent size and delicious. By going before 12, you don’t have to wait(at least on the weekday we went).

The two things I learned from my 15 minute interaction with a group of Japanese locals(with my baby japanese + google translator) who spent a committed day shopping the Ocean Day holiday weekend sales of this grandiose shopping center and eatery: 1. This place is famous(celebrities frequent this restaurant) 2. Best okonomiyaki in Osaka. Okay, sold. Ordered 2 types of japanese style pancake, the first was displayed outside the restaurant with said famous celebrities. It had bacon and other stuff on it, it was delicious. We also ordered the original okonomiyaki that everyone else was having, and for good reason. I enjoyed the original with a ice cold, super dry, Asahi beer(ugh, perfection). If you’re here to cross off that checklist of eating okonomiyaki in Osaka(where it all started, of course!), this would be the best place to fulfill your wishes. No ragrets. Enjoy!
