I’m a fan of conveyor belt sushi, but Ganko Sushi was average. Ganko Sushi is a chain restaurant, so you can find this place throughout Japan. Standard sushi items on the menu. There wasn’t any unique items on the menu. Out of the 8 plates that we ate, we liked the salmon since it was fatty.

I LOVE conveyor belt sushi!!! Why? Because its convenient, you can eat as much or as little as you want, there’s lots of variety and the sushi is usually inexpensive. One of the things I was looking forward to when visiting Japan was eating some conveyor belt sushi. Needless to say, I was really happy to find Ganko as it was everything I loved about conveyor belt sushi PLUS the quality of the sushi was so much more SUPERIOR to what we have at home(and we have some pretty good sushi in Honolulu so that’s saying A LOT)!!! Same set up as most other conveyor belt places — you can take items off the belt or order off the menu if you don’t see what you want. Plates are colored coded by price. A few minor negatives: Sushi pieces were much smaller than I was expecting and I didn’t see our daughters’ favorite inari(a standard item at home). The service was fantastic and I have to give the girl there kudos for giving her English a shot with me(my Japanese is worse than rudimentary). She nailed it.
