At the end of a long day of traveling from Hiroshima to Osaka, going to the Tennoji Zoo(which ended up being closed on Mondays — I should have checked the guide book damn it) and wandering through the Shinsekai area near the Hitachi tower(different review), it was time to find a reasonably affordable dinner that everyone(two adventurous adults and picky twin 3 yr olds), would eat. Needless to say, the palettes and stomaches of the«Dynamic Duo» took precedence. Luckily, we came upon Pancake Days located on the 8 °F floor of Tennoji Abeno Kintetsu(mall). Pancake Days is a kid friendly restaurant serving. .. you guessed it. .. pancakes. Surprisingly, there was a wide variety of offerings — many different toppings, pancakes made into sandwiches, etc. Our girls, being pancakes purists, opted for the«original» pancakes with whipped butter and maple syrup. Reasonably priced(¥600 for 3 pancakes). Pancakes were moist and sweet. Our girls loved them. Very friendly. Even though the Mrs and I opted out of the«breakfast for dinner“idea in hopes of finding«adult food» for ourselves later, we weren’t given a single«stink eye».
