My two friends and I had an early dinner here on a Monday. As with most establishments, we had the option of sitting in a smoking or non-smoking area and we chose the non-smoking. We were seated in a booth upstairs, and assumed the entire second floor was a non-smoking area but after a certain amount of time(we were there for about three and a half hours), the entire establishment became a smoking area. I would say that at around 9 or 10pm, they let everyone smoke regardless of where they’re seated. Atmosphere: — Fancy-ish, but casual wear is definitely acceptable. — I really only got to check out the upstairs but they seem to have two full bars. Good amount of seating downstairs, and several tables upstairs. — Music wasn’t too loud and it’s an appropriate place for a romantic night with a spouse or even a group dinner with some friends. Food: Pretty good! — The Chorizo was tasty and great for sharing. — Gambas Ajillo was delicious as well, and went well with a baguette. — Funghi Bismarck pizza was tasty! Not the most flavorful dish but who knew that a poached egg would make the pizza taste so much better? — Cream Sauce with Salmon & Spinach: Definitely not the best creamy pasta dish I’ve ever eaten. Their linguini is not what you would normally expect, as they’re pretty thick and reminded me of udon noodles. The cream sauce was not that tasty in my opinion, and Japanese spinach is totally inferior to American spinach. They also don’t give you that much salmon. — Margherita: I’d definitely get this again! When it first came out, it looked like it was ready to be photographed. It was as good as it looked. Drinks: — Tried Heartland beer for the first time and thought it was mediocre. — Pineapple juice is tasty and not too sweet. — They have bottles of wine for 2500yen. We ordered the Eye Spy and it was decent. Service: — Our waitress was not the best, as it was obvious that she wasn’t happy with us for some reason. She also disappeared after taking our orders, and another employee(a male) was assisting us for the rest of the meal. Not sure what happened to her, but the gentleman was very kind and professional.
