The rating of USHIGORO in «Tabelog»(The most famous user-rating restaurant website) is very high and I’ve wanted to check out this place for a long time. I finally had a chance and was obviously super excited about it. Long story short, I felt like this should be a great place for a special dinner occasion(some anniversary) or an expensive date dinner, considering its exclusive atmosphere and quality of meat. I would probably pick some other place if I purely go for quality meat and cost-efficiency, or for an occasion where several people get together and have fun. This place is most appropriate for couples. So, if you plan to hang out in Roppongi area on a date and wonder where to eat quality food in a bit fancy environment, don’t even think about it and just make a call to book a table. You always need to make a reservation beforehand. Again, this is *the* place to put a nice final touch to your romantic date.

It’s a Wagyu beef yakiniku paradise, so many sublime cuts of meats(many are not listed on the regular menu, so don’t forget to ask). Great service and staff, trendy décor… A stone’s throw away from Roppongi, yet a world apart.

Melt-in-your-mouth BEEF. This was our FAVORITE meal in Japan, and that’s saying a lot considering all the delicious food options there. We got the course menu, which came with about 6 – 7 pieces of various cuts of beef, along with salad, soup, sides, and dessert. I’d say every piece of meat was a highlight, although the tongue, filet, and sirloin were definite standouts. Never have I had beef like this, despite being to many nice steakhouses and yakiniku places in the States. Sorry USA, Japan wins this one. It makes me sad not knowing when my next visit will be… I highly recommend you visit, if not so I can just live vicariously through your review!
