Well the translation for the restaurant is… Angkor liquor dining Minami Now I don’t know if that is correct, but what I do know is I had the best meals I had while in Tokyo while in this basement restaurant. Super clean, wonderful décor, and fresh ingredients. Sitting at the teppan grill, having a Kirin, and the cook/host taking care of me and my wife was the highlight of all the meals we had. This man was a brilliant cook, and took care of us like family. It was an honor to sit in his restaurant.

I’m not sure of the English transliteration of this restaurant’s name… but for anyone traveling to Tokyo who is staying in the Minato area(especially if you’re staying at the ANA Intercontinental Hotel or near it), this is great stop for an authentic Japanese meal. So many restaurants in the area are pricey tourist/business stops. This place offered really good beer, sake, tempura, sushi, sashimi, and amazing fried chicken. I was treated to dinner by local hosts… so am not sure what the tab came to… but had a lot of fun visiting one of the smaller, more intimate, local establishments.
