This is a small Starbucks is connected to the Hotel Comsoleil Shiba in Daimon. My attachment to this location is this was the first Starbucks in Tokyo I visited. It is just down the street from the Shiba Park Hotel and I would have many a pancake and espresso breakfast here. It’s really great sitting at the tables outside. You can watch the foot traffic headed left to Zojo-Ji or Tokyo Tower, or headed right towards Hamamatsucho Station. When I used to have breakfast in the mornings there was always an outside table with a dog bowl of water. A group of four locals would meet every morning with their dogs to have coffee and socialize — and the staff laid out the bowl to reserve their table in advance! That tells you how nice these Starbucks people were.

I had a «short» drip coffee and unfortunately it wasn’t very good, like it’s been sitting in the pot for too long. It was so thick, almost syrup like consistency. This location needs better quality control, especially for their most basic product.

It’s a Starbucks. Personally, I like the pastries in Japan more than the ones back in the states. The baristas are very friendly and I do like that they give you a card when you order soy milk to make sure they get it right! There are a ton of foreigners here :)
