Nice, small but clean setup. Food tastes great. I ordered the lamb biryani, chicken tikka and keema

This Indian cuisine place is great. I think it’s the best Indian restaurant I’ve ever been in my life so far. It was my first time to have Biryani so I didn’t know what it’s like before but came to like it as much as curry. It’s very fragrant and flavorful. Their curry was very good too(you get to choose between naan and rice. The tandoori chicken dish was pretty good too — The spices used to flavor the meat tasted complex and sort of reminded me of buffalo wings in the US. The pricing is incredibly reasonable here and the portion should be big enough to stuff you up. Super accessible from Roppongi station, easy to find. I’ll definitely come back to try more of their dishes.

Small restaurant owned by Indians that can wait you in English and Japanese.(English menu available) Conveniently located a 1 min walk from Roppongi station /crossing, open till 11pm, and plenty of vegetarian options. A lot of the Indian restaurants in Japan tend to have this mild taste steered for the liking of the Japanese majority, but this place does not mess! The Biryanis are served in basamati rice, with different blends of spices(you can see the colorful rice grains) and they do not skimp on spices. Whole CHUNKS of spices are all over to create the depth of taste, and the aroma when your food is piping hot is just simply amazing. I really enjoy seeing different spices popping out of my rice as I dig in. It comes with a yogurt sauce and a slice of lime to squeeze over, and you can enjoy the flavors in so many ways. They serve the best best Biryani I’ve ever had in my life(I don’t say that lightly) and I’m so surprised to find this gem in Tokyo. A Chicken Biryani costs about 1800yen, but the portions are so huge I always have to share it with a friend. If you do a take out, it’s plenty for two meals. Haven’t got around to try their curries so I would love to try sometime. The staff are very friendly, and sometimes will serve a lassi or Coke while you wait for your take out. Never thought I’d be raving about a Biryani dish in Tokyo. Love this place!

Great curries available here and some of them are spicy(I know that’s hard to find in Japan). Make sure to check out the spicy lamb curry, tandoori chicken and the bihari kabobs too! The biryani wasn’t that great to me but most set dishes come with a spicy salad, soup and a drink. Can’t really complain about that!
