After a long day of sight seeing in Tokyo I decided to try out this place before heading home. This is a New Zealand style steakhouse and I thought the food was excellent and the view was gorgeous! It’s located at the top of one of Tokyo’s high rise building and depending on the time you go, you might be able to get a window seat. The area itself is a business district so if you go Saturday or Sunday it tends to be pretty empty and you’re more likely to get a better seat(and not wait to get in). The only draw back is it is pretty pricey especially if you decide to drink. For two people, we ended up ordering 400 grams of steak, a tuna and avocado salad, a small side of mashed potatoes and ice cream. Considering the size(and it’s in Tokyo) the steak was well worth the price! With the side sauces provided it was fun to try the different ways to eat it and of course it was cooked medium rare to perfection. The avocado and tuna salad was also very yummy but would have been better had additional bread been provided. The mashed potatoes were probably the least liked… in fact I would just opt out of the sides if possible, for the price it’s not worth it :( Finally, you can get the traditional New Zealand Hokey Poke Ice Cream here. While it is lacking in the Honeycomb toffee bits like the original ice cream(it does have some… like 2 bits!) the taste of the vanilla is heaven. I’m not a huge ice cream fan but this vanilla was one of the best I’ve had in my life! The total cost of the night was 9000 yen without alcohol and we both were very satisfied with the amount and taste. Considering it’s Tokyo, it’s fairly reasonable and great to check out if you want to get something other than Japanese cuisine.

I thought this was very good. We selected a prix-fixe menu which had several courses. The food was delicious, the view spectacular. We never entirely understood how the steak was cooked, but it was perfectly medium rare. Other highlights were a mason jar cobb salad, and dessert which for me was Pavlova. It was out of this world. A great spot for people looking for a break from Eastern cuisine and for Tokyo I found it really reasonably priced. About $ 50.00USD per person.
