This restaurant has the greatest atmosphere. If you enjoy Mediterranean food this is definitely a place to go. The wine here is awesome the service is great. The hummus is aaaaaaaamazing. Since this is Mediterranean I recommend sticking with the Mediterranean foods. We tried to stay here and to be honest it wasn’t as good as other places. For steak you should go somewhere that specializes in steak. But being Mediterranean the fish meals were amazing. The chicken was great. All in all the food tasted really fresh. There’s even outdoor seating and a little bar area. This place is great for when you’re trying to impress somebody or like we did an anniversary even a girls night out if you’re into fancy expensive girls nights out.

Hmmmm No me gusta tanto aquí. Atmosphere n location are great. But food was nothing special. I liked hummus. Other dishes, I don’t remember at all. For enjoying romantic mood yes I recommend. But if go there with someone gourmet, may be wont be special for her or he.

Owned by the same company that runs TY Harbor & the IVY Place, CICADA is a gorgeous Mediterranean Restaurant located in Minami Aoyama. This place is great for a date night or for special occasions :) The Atmosphere: SPOTON! — The restaurant is located in the backstreets of Aoyama and Omotesando, where it gets a bit quieter from the mainstreets of Omotesando. CICADA along with a bakery and a café are placed on a beautiful patio, with tons of outdoor seats and sofas. — Inside the restaurant is even more beautiful. There is a balcony area with outdoor sofas and a small pond on its side. The lights are dimmed and has a very romantic & private atmosphere. Food: Hummus & Seafood is definitely the Best Choice! Great but not mindblowing, I felt that preference would make a huge difference — Hummus Dip & endless flatbread was amazing — The Grilled salmon with basil aiori and mussel nage was SPOTON. The soup under the salmon & mussels was the MVP of the meal we had — The Bisteca tagliata with rucola and parmesan was good, but not amazing. If you are a steak guy, I recommend checking out their T.Y. Harbor in Tennozu Isle. Service: Very attentive & smooth Just like every Tyson & Co. restaurant, the timing & consideration of the staff was flawless. Food comes at the right time, the waiters would come to check up on us enough times to see if everything was okay even when the restaurant was packed with people. Even in a very high-service level country like Japan, I’m amazed at the quality that Tyson&Co maintains.

Excellent! Now one of our favorite restaurants in Tokyo! Beautiful outdoor seating; a unique feature in Omotesando. On our first visit, we enjoyed their starter/variety plate as well as the Lamb Tagine — both were excellent! The service could not have been better. Very professional, but not overly so, where it was not friendly. In a city of excellent restaurants, Cicada stands out!

The service and the ambiance was excellent. The food was good not mind blowing but good. I came here on a Monday and it was surprisingly busy but was able to get a table upon arrival without a rez. Ingredients are pretty fresh and the restaurant décor is great. I’d recommend it for a couple night out and it’d also works great for a dining group of friends. In my opinion the restaurant looks better in person than online. Check it out I wasn’t disappointed. Cheers!

Cicada is right now one of my favorite restaurants in Japan and ranks as one of the best dining experiences I’ve had so far. I tried three plates: the dip sampler, a chicken brochettes, and the snapper. Let’s start with the dips. I had the hummus, carrot, and broccoli dip. All three were good, but the carrot and hummus were the stars of the show. They both paired perfectly with the freshly cooked, still hot flat bread. The difference between their hummus and store bought hummus is like night and day. I would go there for the hummus alone. It helps that you get free refills if you run out of flat bread too. Now on to the chicken brochettes. I wish I knew how they cooked thaws, because the chicken was so juicy and flavorful. It’s so good, you don’t even need the dip. Of course, I finished the dip, which was also amazing. I tried the snapper for my main, after agonizing over what to get. It too, was of course, perfectly cooked. It comes with a wedge of lemon, but in all honesty, you don’t need it. The last time I remember having fish that good was back in Seattle, Washington. Lastly, as other reviewers have alluded, this place gets busy. You won’t get a table unless you make a reservation. Luckily, they have a large bar and outside bar area, so if you’re by yourself or with someone else, you should be able to find a spot. In short, I highly recommend Cicada — just make a reservation if you’re with a group. I’m already planning my next next trip.

Stopped in at Cicada recently for the first time in nearly 4 years and left very happy. The new location in Minami Aoyama is awesome. As usual, the service and vibe are excellent. But it’s the food that completes the experience, as well as the reasonable prices that leave you satisfied. Dining at a TY establishment often leaves me amazed at how other places with similar potential haven’t been able to figure it out. It’s a simple mixture of location, top quality, reasonably-priced food and excellent service. So many places around the city can learn much from TY’s success.

of all the places I’ve eaten in Tokyo, this NAILS the spot. wonderful customer service(though japan in general everyone is very polite), and the food was FANTASTIC. my clients and my boss and i, we were all very, very satisfied. my two clients were from Germany and Sweden respectively, and they seemed to really enjoy the meal as well! they walked out with Cicada’s business card in hand, very very satisfied!

Excellent Mediterranean cuisine from the TY group(behind Beacon, TY Harbor Brewery, Ivy Place, etc). This is uniformly booked out, especially since moving to the new, larger location, so be sure to book at least a week in advance. Other things to like about this place: the awesome patio/drinking area at the entrance; the tapas style, tasty plates; and just the general vibe overall. Every time I’ve been I’ve had a great dining experience. Would recommend for a group of friends more than a date as it can get a little loud and hectic.
