Cuisine: 5⁄10 Service: 8⁄10 Décor: 7⁄10 Value: 5⁄10 Overall: 6⁄10 Well, for my love of everything edible in Japan, I decided to use Unilocal to document my epicurean adventure on my first trip to the land of the rising sun. Side note: my official first taste of any kind of food in Japan was a pit stop at 7 Eleven, where we had some oden(traditional winter dish of boiled ingredients). After I have a few more 7 Eleven items, I will provide a full review. However, oden alone is 5 stars. My favorite is the tofu purse thingy stuffed with pork & mochi — crazy good. Ironically, my first complete review in Japan will be for Spanish cuisine. Lol. It was not our first choice for food in the BizTower Atrium, but the line at Sushi no Midori upstairs was crazy long. We were hungry, so we decided to take a number, grab a bite and come back 1.5 hours later. We didn’t order much since we plan on having sushi afterwards. What we try was average at best compared to Spanish food we had in Barcelona, or even in NYC. By far the best dish was the butcher plate of Iberico Ham that came with two pieces of panne con tomate(Spanish bread w/rubbed tomato & olive oil). However, as expected, service was top notch and it made for a decent experience.
