This park was a wonderful surprise find. Its located at about a 10 minute walking distance from the Gakugei Daigaku Station, and has a wonderful local feeling to it. The park comes with a adorable petting zoo for kids(Guinea Pigs, Rabbits, and extremely calm dogs), a pony ride area/and ring that offers lessons and short rides for a low price.(I’ve seen young kids cleaning out the barn so I think the lessons aren’t just pay-for a ride). There’s even a miniture lake(pond?) that has rental boats on the weekends. The park includes a small local shrine and a small play area for kids, and about a dozen benches scattered around. During the Sakura Season its a very layed back place to sit and have a family friendly picnic under the flowers :) It is attached to the public Meguro Gymnasium which seems to have tons of sporting events. There’s also a baseball field and 6 faux grass tennis courts which can be rented out from the Gymnasium There’s a small running course that they have set up with markers, which is maybe about ½ km around. Great for light jogging or walking. I’ve gone there several times over the course of 2 years, and while it can get a little busy it has rarely gotten to the point of over crowed that you often find at any little bit of greenery that can be found in Tokyo. I highly recommend this park to anyone that lives locally and has young children :)
