Very good food in great atmosphere. The food seemed to be bottomless and the service was amazing.

This Toraji will be of a familiar setup and menu to anyone who has visited other locations of this chain. This particular location does benefit from a nice window side second floor location with a very spacious interior. We went here with a group for yakiniku. Portion sizes of the meat and small kimchi plates ordered were smaller than my recollection of past experiences at their locations. I don’t know if things have changed, if my memory is finally failing me, or if the proximity to Ginza is affecting the price/value ratio. That said meat quality was generally all around decent and well seasoned and marinated. While various sauces and garnishments were offered the meat was fine on its own given the heavy marinating. This isn’t a top-of-the-line yakiniku establishment but those familiar with the chain can appreciate their consistency and know what level of quality to expect. To a newcomer, you generally won’t be disappointed. Their menu does have something for everyone, including those who don’t want red meat, although those not wanting meat at all really shouldn’t be at a yakiniku restaurant. A complaint was that they had no cheek meat available tonight. Seems odd to be missing an entire cut unless they sold out really early(doubtful), but there were plenty of other options. The makgeolli(makkori), a favorite cheap drink of Koreans and myself, came in a few options. The namesake brand had an airy taste with decent fermentation. Overall a decent meal and this is a Toraji location I would return to.
