Tried their famous omelette rice. In love with the soft and creamy texture omelette. Every egg lover should give it a try It would be even better if the egg taste is richer or thicker

Omelet rice is quite creamy and softy taste. Must try once in your life. Omelet sandwich, carbonara pasta also taste good. Th relocation is closed to Kabukiza so you can stop by this café before or after the Kabuki show.

Saw this on TV and was just drawn to their fluffy looking omurice(omelette on rice) and decided to go check out that same week. This old and retro Japanese style coffee shop is a popular among the famous Kabuki performers as this shop is just a close walk from the Kabuki Theatre. I went at around 4pm and was directed to find myself a seat upstairs. The kitchen took up most of the first floor and it’s their thing to fill up the shop from the 2nd floor first. Since it was a weird time to have lunch, there were only 2 other tables filled. If only they make the shop a non-smoking place… the 2nd-hand smoke really doesn’t let you relax and want to sit for too long. Even if you don’t mind the smoke, it’s just going to get all stuck in your hair and clothes and no one wants that. I ordered my omelette and rice with an ice coffee for a mere 1,100yen. Everyone else here were having the same thing so that’s a good sign. When you see everyone eating the same thing you know at least they have to be good at making that dish because it’s all they do all day. My omelette arrive and I just couldn’t help letting my camera have a taste first. It was so smooth and shiny and I just couldn’t resist shaking my plate to see my omelette wobble. I bit my lips and dug my spoon across the omelette and the perfectly runny eggs came pouring out all over the rest of the plate over the rice in tomato sauce. It’s a really simple dish and I’m sure every Japanese has tried making it at least once but to make it this perfectly runny and smooth and flavoursome can only be done with years of experience. Come and see for yourself.
