Great location just minutes from the Tokyo Station. Hotel is located inside the Trust Tower and is conveniently located down the street from the Ginza shopping district. All of the staff spoke English as many of their patrons are foreigners. Room was small but clean. Highly recommend.

During cherry blossom season, definitely a great value! The location is great. Walking distance to ginza, fish market. And very close to the Tokyo Station to take the JR. The rooms and beds are extremely small, but very clean and modern. Safe and secure. The breakfast is great at the Lavarock. For Marriott Gold, there’s no lounge, but there is plenty Western food on the happy hour menu. Service is great in the restaurant. The availability of English speaking staff with fluency is very limited.

Very nice hotel within a close walk of the Yaesu exit, Tokyo Station. Having only four floors, you need to book rooms at this hotel weeks early or risk not getting a room. Also, many of the rooms are really small which is not unusual for Tokyo but there has been a trend of making rooms bigger in recent years. Checking in on the 4th floor, you will be greeted by a friendly staff who are well versed in English. The woman who checked me in had a Midwest US accent. The lobby welcomes Marriott Gold members by serving free beer, coffee and water. Nice. Gym: there is a small gym on the 3rd floor with a mix of aerobics and Dumbbells. This is open 24h, something I don’t often find at hotels. Lava Rock: the hotel sports an excellent restaurant for all day meals and evening drinks. I really liked their breakfast(check my review). All the features of my room were excellent. I really enjoyed my stay!

I am staying here now frequently. It is not the best hotel, but it is so convenient. Kyobashi station is ideal to get to most of my meetings faster than trotting through the vast Tokyo Station. The rooms at the Courtyard are larger than Japanese standard. The rooms are on lower floors which some may object to, but I like the short time to get out and about. And if you are a Gold or Platinum Member instead of a launch acess they give you a free pass to the downstairs restaurant bar.

Another new marriott group hotel in Tokyo, deceivingly called Tokyo station but in reality it’s a short hike from the station. In fact this courtyard is also a walking distance from ginza courtyard. *keep in mind, Walk from Tokyo station require good sense of direction since their is no street signs and also you have to walk through underground tunnel /shopping plaza to get to the right side of block. Currently there is no direct shuttle bus from Narita airport, so you would still have to walk from station. Your map app would help you, though Google doesn’t show it yet. The hotel is bare minimum, front desk which is located on 4th floor of relatively new refurbished building, also serves as a bar /self service coffee stand. If you are used to usual Japanese hotel check in with bunch of people run towards to you to carry your bags and hand out wet handtowel, change your reservation to Ginza location or perhaps other brand. This is very American /European setting — check in, give credit card, pick up a key, find your room. Boom! Room is small for American brand hotel in Japan, probably the smallest I know. Very comparable to Japanese business hotel, with tiny bathroom, three hangars sticking out on wall(no closet), and half size desk. You also get collage dorm size fridge so you could keep your food or drink. Fitness center is complete with free weight and cardio machine. The huge setback is lack of towels, so be sure to hit early or you would be sitting on someone else’s sweat. There is no coffee machine in the room, and you have to bring this little cup from room to get a self service coffe at front desk… or pay 600yen at downstairs café. They also have breakfast buffet at first floor bar, it’s 2450yen per person. Very standard price for Tokyo but value is very questionable, I went for mystery meat over rice bowl across the street for 400yen most of time staying. Front desk is helpful but lacking basic necessity items usually found in hotels. My room price was actually same as Ginza courtyard or intercontinental in Akasaka. Since this place is not that convenient, I would not stay again unless they come down price significantly. It would however convenient if you are visiting high rise in Tokyo station area but don’t want to spend $ 700/n at actual station hotel.

The room was pretty small — be careful when opening the door, there is really no clearance between the door and wall. However, it was brand new and very clean. They had all of the typical supplies you’d get in a hotel room. I didn’t like the tiny bottles of bad smelling shampoo/soap though. I would almost rather them have bigger dispensers of better nicer products. Room cleaning was good — there’s a «please clean the room» button on the power card thing so you can let them know when to come in. Blinds were a little strange with a sheer one closer and a blackout one against the window. We didn’t realize there was a second blind at first… They also have this bizarre coffee system where you bring small steel teacups from your room to get a paper cup for coffee in their lobby. No latte, just regular coffee. The whole process was a little strange. The best and redeeming part of this hotel is the location. This is the only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 3. You’re a 4 min walk from Tokyo station, 4 mins from kyobashi subway station. It makes commuting anywhere in the city a breeze.
