Average Okinawan restaurant on the north side B1 °F of Tokyo station. Had the Goya Chanpuru set for lunch, where the star of the dish was the fried rice. Which is to say that the Goya Chanpuru itself was just average. The bitter melon(Goya) itself was not too bitter but the accompanying ingredients just didn’t really sing. I’d have preferred to see more pork and a bit better seasoning. The cold noodles were light and refreshing with a slight sour taste. The separate soup was aromatic with a definite taste of ginger – perhaps the second best dish of the set. The pickles were typical, and the red bean dessert was modestly sweet with large beans and a slightly sticky/gooey/slimy exterior. Most of the other lunch sets were primarily noodles(suba) which if I return may be worth exploring.
