Official Kotobukiya store! Lots of floors with cool merchandise. They don’t sell used stuff, only official things that they have licensed like Star Wars. So much Star Wars stuff everywhere. Toys, figures, everything. I swear Japan has cheaper and more variety of Star Wars stuff than the USA. They also have merchandise for a lot of other things as well like Love Live, Nendoroids, etc. You know, the stuff that Akihabara is made of. LOL. It’s a good place to visit to look and shop. Kotobukiya is usually only at San Diego Comicon so if you are a collector, this is the place. I think the prices are about the same as the US prices when it comes to figures and toys. There’s a slight markup in the US, but not a significant mark up unless it’s super rare. I still say save a $ 10 – 30 depending on the product and let the stronger dollar give you additional discount. Buy your new unopened Kotobukiya merchandise here. Or wander around Akiba searching for even cheaper ones. That’s fun too.

These guys carry a lot of miscellaneous animé goodies, but they seemed out of stock of a lot of the items that I wanted, and they were quite pricey. Other than that, kotobukiya is easy to find and fun to look at. I would definitely recommend animé lovers to take a look at this shop, just don’t come expecting to stay within a budget.

This was a super fun multi-leveled toy shop found in the animé/electronics district of Tokyo. Tons and I mean tons of busty animé figurines which I wanted to buy but the boxes were so damn big, won’t fit in the suitcase! Noticed a small Star Wars section as well as a few Marvel figurines. For the love of God could not find Link — Zelda figurines anywhere!!! If anyone’s got a clue please hit me up and let me know where I could find this impossible gem.
