Very disappointing ramen and broth quality. The New York outpost is definitely much better. Strange though as I know that the broth is prepared form a centralized kitchen and delivered frozen to all branches… May be they outdid themselves for the 1st restaurant in NYC… where the long lines are the proof. But if you visit or live in Tokyo, there are much-much better places to enjoy real artisanal ramen noodles.

Love this place. They keep the menu simple and I believe their ramen is #1 in Japan. It’s a chain ramen restaurant in Japan, but it’s not fast food! You get great service and quality ramen here. It’s affordable and filling. Every Ippudo I’ve been to has a different interior set up, which I think is brilliant. For the Maruno ichi building, they have a modern look going, and at Takada no Baba,(a college city) they have a more open casual setup with a huge table that can sit several groups. I highly recommend if you are ever in Japan looking for a solid ramen restaurant.
