What an experience! I’ve had some really great sushi experiences in LA and Tokyo, but I’d say this ranks in my top three. The chef was so friendly and informative. I felt like I got a lesson in proper sushi, history, and craftsmanship. Granted I wouldn’t have been able to get this experience if it weren’t for my friend who translated what was said! But, the chef was so cool and eager to share.
The sushi was amazing– really good, especially the fatty toro, uni, and tamago. So simple and well done. Excellent. It was a true omakase experience, with rare pieces I’ve never had but served bc it was so fresh.
