If visiting the Ueno/Nezu area this is worth the detour. Partially build in an old storehouse it oozes character on the outside but stylishly modern inside. Wow. Two udon dishes are served in two portion sizes. I thoroughly recommend the Kama-age udon. Handmade udon served with side bowl of tenkasu(tempura bubbles), ginger, shallots & dipping sauce. So simple, but so good. Drink menu offers a nice selection of alcohol chosen to match the udon with selections of shochu, sake, wine & Yebisu beer. This is an udon restaurant for adults. Can’t wait to return.
