Very nice place with friendly personnel and great food. Have a large aquarium with which our 2 year old was extremely delighted. This was the best place we found in Verona within our stay there.

While walking around Verona, we were looking for a place to eat some pizza. We walked into this place and were really happy we did :) The food was very good(the pizzas were delicious) and having a house wine(which was good local wine from the region) at 6 euros for ½ liter was not bad at all either :) The only downside of this place is that on the inside it does not look super nice. However, the quality of the food made us forget that pretty quickly :)

Pros: 1) Looks like a lot of fun from the outside — sucks you right in. 2) Good service — € 2,50 per person 3) Good food. We had the Formaggio and Mostarde plate(€ 11) and two Risotto Amarone(€ 11 per person, min 2), shared a Filletto alla Wornoff(€ 18) and Potatoes(€ 4). The house wine(the local region’s Valpolicella) was excellent at € 6 for a ½ liter. The cheese and risotto were delicious; I’m not sure I’d get the steak filet again, but then I was pretty full by the time it was brought out. 4) Lemincello after-dinner apéritif, no extra charge. 5) Lots of Italians. It’s off the arena path, so that helps keeps the tourists like us out. Which is nice. Cons: 1) They took a church with a history dating back to 1105 and made it look like a 1970’s cafeteria. I’m not sure what architect they used to build the upper level dining area, but it kills any ambience this place could have. The all-white ceiling also lends itself to utter boredom. With the exception of an occasional rock design showing through the peach/pink and crème plaster, any design from the original structure is pretty much masked by the upper level. It makes me sad. 2) The English menu doesn’t have the myriad pizzas the regular menu has. If you’re looking for pizzas, they have lots of specialty pizzas in addition to the traditional ones.
