We showed up here with 8 guys(6 Californian’s, 1 Moroccan, 1 German) before heading to Vatican City for the day. We took up the entire small shop/restaurant and this was one of the best overall eating experiences we had all trip! There were two women working in the front of the store and once we decided we wanted to eat there they immediately helped set up all of the tables to accommodate us. Most of us ordered the daily special which was lasagna(with red sauce and meat or pesto with potato) and a glass of wine for only 9 euros. I definitely tried some of both and they were fantastic! Clearly homemade pasta/sauce and very well cooked. It hit the spot and the price is hard to beat with the accompanying glass of wine. A few of us wanted to try some other traditional Italian dishes too so we ordered some tiramisu and limoncello(the lemon alcoholic drink) and both were delicious! The tiramisu is served different than I’m used to in the States where it’s served more of a cake style. This was served in a parfait glass with a small amount of really flavorful coffee flavored cake on the bottom and a customs on top with cocoa and coffee shavings on top. So good. I’d heard stories of bad limoncello from a bottle, the lower end places or big tourist shops that just serve whatever they have to unsuspecting tourists. Not this place. It was amazing and wonderfully refreshing, definitely worth purchase. We also purchased another bottle of wine in the store and they quickly opened it up and poured us all glasses. The bottles in store range from 8 to 20 euros(definitely some more expensive ones though) and at least the one we purchased was great. All in all we were there for about 2 hours, taking up there entire establishment. Great food and great service.

I was walking around and wanted to come back here for pasta lunch. 3 of us came in and the place was empty. DRINKS: N/A SERVICE: Lady that runs the shop was really friendly DECOR: It is amazing that you can eat great food while you shop in the store. we were just amazed at the things they have. You can totally do sourvenir shopping done here if you are buying things for foodies. FOOD/PRICE: Truffle Risotto and Pasta were just out of this world. We just loved the saltiness of it and the cheesiness of the pasta and risotto. Green Lasagna with potatoes and pesto sauce was just heavenly too Prices were all under 10 Euro. You gotta try this place.
