Great Standard Fish and Chips spot. This one is more tailored to your taste as you can pick the kind of fish you want along with how you want it prepared. I went with the normal fried cod and chips and it was perfection! And the portions are well sized. This place does seem to attract quite a crowd, but the wait seemed to be no longer than 15 – 20 minutes per party.

I read about Quinlans Seafood Bar in Unilocal before my trip over to Ireland, and it was on my «Must Do» list, along with Leo Burdocks Fish & Chips in Dublin(supposedly the«Best Fish & Chips in Ireland»). Trust me when I say that Leo’s has absolutely NOTHING on Quinlan’s Seafood Bar, and in fact, Quinlan’s blows them away! This walk in-sit down little store-front operation on busy High Street in Killarney is nicely lit, comfortable seating and offers free Wi-Fi. They have a nice limited menu, but also offer a daily fish«special.» All menu items and«specials» are very fair priced and the quality of the food served is EXCELLENT and definitely worth a couple of extra Euros spent compared to some other«famous» Chippers. My wife and I could not have been more satisfied with our Cod Fish & Chips, which came out on a plate freshly cooked rather than thrown into paper from out under a heat lamp like at Leo Burdocks. At Quinlans Seafood Bar the Fish was battered and dropped into the hot oil(which I believe they use some sort of a special cooking oil) when we ordered it, and when it arrived a few minutes later it was hot, light, not oily and with a nice crisp thin batter on it. The fish itself was fresh, flaky and Delicious. Having eaten F&C at many places in England, Scotland and elsewhere, I can definitely say that Quinlan’s Seafood Bar was THEBEST that I have tasted in many a year gone by. If you are visiting Killarney, stop in for yourself and see. You will not be disappointed. This is the«real deal» when it comes to Fish & Chips. Highly recommended!
