*Hidden gem alert.* Finding Haigh Terrace is not easy. The Maritime Museum is in a deconsecrated church close to the new Lexicon Library(left side, with your back to the pier). The café is on the right of the church. I’d guess they cover about 20 people. Lots of soft seating in the corners to smash out on. On a cold day, leave your jacket on; these churches are hard to keep warm. Two big salads, a falafel sandwich, a soup and some healthy cakes. But do not underestimate the loveliness of a well executed simple menu. The two salads were absolutely cracking raw vegan goodness. Superfood salad was all seaweed, salad leaves, kale, avocado, edamame bean, nuts and other important healthy stuff I can barely recall. I loved it, but still had food envy when I saw the sandwich. I’ll come back for that. I’d love to see these guys do well.
