This place is casual and has mostly breakfast and lunch items. They close at 6;30 during the week and 4:00 pm on Sat. and Sundays. They have some pastries and offer typical breakfast food. I found the yogurt with fruit and granola to be pretty good. Coffee was ok. You order at the counter and they will bring the food to you. There are bookshelves with books you can browse and if you want one, you are asked to leave one as a trade which is a fun feature. I also had the tuna melt sandwich which was pretty good, nothing special but ok. It is convenient if you are staying in Smithfield and prices are decent.

Good traditional full irish breakfast. Separat coffee to go bar which speeds up things. Food came fast. Plenty of food on the full breakfast, mini irish was good as well. Nearly half size of full. Place had great atmosphere with a mix of all ages.

This is a relaxed café with some really nice menu choices for breakfast or lunch. Just ok not amazing pancakes and bacon a good fry or a nice ciabatta sandwich. Kind of a hipster vibe to the place but with more sunlight and less grungeyness. Perfect for a Saturday morning. Food is nice but not out of this world. Had better pancakes and bacon elsewhere.

I heard good reports about Third Space but was sorely dissapointed. I went for Sunday brunch, an experience I usually really enjoy, but sadly not this time! I ordered pancakes with bacon — the safe choice. The pancakes tasted like the came straight from a packet and the bacon was at best, average. So that’s it for me and Third Space!

A very meh experience. Decided upon Third Space for brunch today. Went with a couple of friends. We had the pancakes, full Irish and sandwiches. The pancakes were probably the biggest disappointment, they tasted like pancakes from a packet. They came with maple syrup, a fruit pot and two pieces of bacon. Would be really surprised if they were homemade! Everything else was fine, nothing special. I got the pastrami ciabatta, which was quite nice — it came accompanied with a really sad looking bit of lettuce. Probably won’t return for the food, but maybe for some of their other events!

Really great spot. The food is always amazing and the staff are great. No hanging around either, your food is always brought to you in a matter of minutes. The scrambled eggs and smoked salmon they do on the weekends is fantastic!

Sort of torn on this one! I arrived at lunch time so the place was jammers and found it hard to get a seat. After waiting abit we eventually did. Nobody came to take our order I don’t know whether that’s the norm at Third Space so I just went to the till to order and my friend watched our seats. I had the avocado toast which was € 7.95! The latte was over € 3 too! Nearly died but I was starving so I paid anyway. Expecting lumps of avocado and tastiness to arrive, along came a very sad piece of toast with the smallest bit of spread avocado. Literally a spread no lumps or chunky goodness :(few vine tomatoes threw on top to make it look less sad! For € 7.95 I’d expect a lot more. I also had to add a lot of salt and pepper it was just bland. Coffee was ok. The place has a nice feel to it but it was really cramped, maybe because lunch hour, so we could hear everything the table next to us where discussing. A lot of laptops and students hanging about doing nothing while other people where waiting to eat and go. The staff, while they where friendly, did really know much about the food when I asked about the salads. «Ah just a few tomatoes and other stuff». I might return when it’s less busy but not in any rush.

I don’t know what happened with this place: a few months ago was a great place to have brunch. Nowadays is just one more. Last time that we went there, my bf ordered a hot chocolate, and as we were seated close to the preparation area, we saw how they did it: mixing chocolate powder and milk. Just that and after the price is almost 4eur! Such a rip off. That’s is so low level… For that I’ll do it at home. The food is in a decreasing level of quality too. Really hope that is just a fase and it will get good again.

This place is a disaster, I can’t believe the reviews are this good. I came in here looking for lunch before seeing a film at the Lighthouse. I thought, from the amount of good reviews, that they would have a decent lunch selection. But there only seemed to be some sandwiches and soup. So I had some avocado on toast(which didn’t count in the sandwich and soup deal) and the soup. The soup was probably poured from a carton, it really wasn’t great. And the avocado on bread was really bland which is hard to do because avocado is like the most delicious thing ever. The space wasn’t even that handy. There weren’t any individual tables left so I had to sit on a long table where a few people were working with their laptops and papers and folders taking up a few spaces. I felt like I was back in college in the 24h study room. It was just a bit awkward. I wanted to get out of there as quickly as possible, so I ate up and grabbed a tea in the Lighthouse instead.

Great breakfast at a great price! Very friendly, welcoming, and warm yet contemporary feeling place and much more modern than you’d expect for Dublin. We found this on Unilocal after all of our recommendations weren’t open early enough, but this place was close by, open, and highly rated. We were very pleasantly surprised! It has a very unique and comfortable atmosphere that you immediately notice when entering. The staff were some of the most friendly people we’ve met in all of our travels around Europe. The baked goods were great, and the Irish breakfast was delicious! Everything was cooked to perfection, and big portions made it a great value! They even have a smaller version of the full Irish breakfast if you aren’t as hungry. I agree with the other reviewers, the food here is great, but it is definitely the atmosphere that makes it so highly recommended.

This is simply put one of the best cafes in Dublin. Specializing in breakfast and lunch, they serve a combination of hot breakfasts including a great Full Irish as well as American pancakes served with maple syrup and bacon that reminds me of home. Their lunch selection consists of a number of freshly made sandwiches ready for toasting and a few specials of the day(typically a quiche and a curry but they can get creative). While the food is delicious, it’s the ambience of the place that really makes it great. The staff is very friendly and the location and community are very welcoming. It’s the type of café where some people just stop in for a quick bite but others might stay for hours working on laptops or catching up with friends, drinking their third pot of tea. There is a sign leading to the back of the seating area that says«Up here it’s okay to talk to strangers» which is something that frequently happens as I’ve heard some of the most amusing impromptu conversations pop up here on a rainy Tuesday afternoon. This is a great coffee shop that I highly recommend. In fact with the amount of time I spend here, if you stop by you just might see me!

There are places in this world that are special because people have made them special. The Third Space, as safe and warm a space as any soul could imagine, is that sort of place. I have been coming here for about two years now, so I am well beyond the«honeymoon phase» a person experiences upon finding a nice new café. The allure of the Third Space is that while the faces change, while the clientéle changes, while the books on the shelves change, the ambience and coziness is ever the same. The Third Space is more than hot breakfasts and delectable lunches. It is not defined by the coffees, teas, and juices it offers nor the scones, crumpets, and brownies nor the books that frame the gateway to the«friends zone» — the cozy nooks, couches, and tables reserved for people open and willing to meet and share their meal/coffee time with fellow Third Spacers. The Third Space is for community, creativity, family, friendship, and fellowship all centred around one of the more joyous aspects of daily living, namely, the dining table. It has been my pleasure to come here the past few years, and I hope to enjoy that privilege for many years to come.

Great place for a hangover Irish breakfast! My friends and I stayed across the street in the Generator Hostel and enjoyed brunch here. Not a fan of blood sausage, but the whole meal was amazing.

This is a very clean looking, minimal space in Smithfield, nice for a bit of people-watching and good for getting some work done– I could see a few heads behind laptops so I assume there are a couple of sockets at least. I sat outside and the server brought me my coffee, and I also had a very fillling and interesting sweet potato, chilli & coconut soup. The little suspended coconut shavings were a strange sight but didn’t give too much of a strange texture and the flavour was just INCREDIBLE. Would definitely come all the way to here just for that soup again. The coffee was delicious also and I appreciated it being brought to me. Nice little terrace outside to sit or smoke if that’s your thing. Nice spot!

What a cute place for breakfast! Located just off a Luas stop, it’s super accessible. The place isn’t too big, but there’s a bunch of indoor as well as outdoor seating. It’s a very fast-moving place: you order at the front and they bring your food out to you. I ordered the croissant breakfast sandwich and a side of eggs. Both were very tasty and came out fairly quickly. There are a bunch of bookcases and cozy seating, which makes this a great place to hang out for a bit and relax. Also a great people — watching location!

Note: I just ate cake ;) This is a nice location. Perfect for students to chill or people, who wants to broaden their perspective. It has nice an comfy places. On the upper space you are allowed to just talk to people and get to know new people. Nice idea. Also a lot of books to have a look at(which are not so ancient like in most hostels). Everthing is so nice, clean, healthy, fresh, light :)

They have an order at the counter system but no one bother to explain this to us when we arrived. The staff generally seemed to be unaware of our presence in the place. Our food all arrived at different times. They were quite busy when we arrived but that isn’t an excuse for poor service. I had the full breakfast and after a fairly hefty night it did the job. A friend had the pancakes and bacon which were also very tasty. They have endless refills on coffee which is something I’d like to see more of in Dublin. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed, perhaps too relaxed when it came to service. I like what this place is trying to do and with a good manager it could be reaching for a much higher rating.

I think I’ve made it clear in my Unilocal reviews over the years that I’m really not the biggest fan of breakfast. But when in Ireland. How could I not try traditional Irish breakfast? We decided to try our luck at Third Space because it’s conveniently located next to the Jameson Distillery which we were planning on visiting. It’s a little off the beaten path – especially if you’re planning on walking to get there – but with the help of google maps, it’s easy enough to find. There is both outside and inside seating available, but since it was freezing, I was more than happy to take my meal inside. When you walk in, both food and drink menus are displayed above where you can place your order. The staff here are so genuinely friendly and happy, it’s contagious! The overall environment of Third Space is bright, cozy and warm. If I lived in Dublin, I could definitely see myself here cozying up with a book(which they provide!) and a coffee on a lazy day. The name, Third Space starts to make sense too when you see how many people use this place not as just a café or coffee joint, but as a place to meet and actually crank out some work. Way to make me feel lazy on vacation, guys! The menu is pretty big, and from what it seems they have a little something for everyone. From the real deal of a hot, hearty meal to light snacks and pastries and coffee, they cover all the bases. I went with the full Irish breakfast to get the entire experience, plus a cup of tea which came out to less than € 10. Not too shabby at all considering the sheer amount of food that the breakfast includes! The full Irish comes with two eggs cooked the way you like, sausage, bacon, pudding, sautéed mushrooms and tomatoes, beans, and a mini stack of toasts. I can’t say enough how much I great the breakfast is here! My over easy eggs were cooked to runny, yolky perfection and the thick cut slices of bacon were cooked to a nice yummy crisp! The mushrooms, tomatoes and beans were also so simple, but as soon as I cleaned them off my dish I kept wishing I had more! Breakfast may not be my favorite meal, but this has definitely gotta be one of my favorite breakfasts!

Ok I’m gonna update my review again! I haven’t come across many mini-people lately(maybe I’ve become adept at avoiding them at their most dense…) At the end of the day, this is a wonderful addition to the area. Really really well priced food, excellent quality, and a comfortable environment in which you are free to work on a laptop for hours, or sit and chat to a new neighbour, or pick out a book from their library and have a read. They have lots of little community events as well that happen in the evening times — I have yet to try the big dinners in which you pay what you feel they’re worth, usually in aid of some local fundraising, but they sound amazing, and I definitely will in the new year. All power to them.

This is a review I wanted to do for some time. There are a few things to say… 1. We ordered 2 sandwiches, 2 choc chip muffins, 1 sparkling water, 1 still water. Total: 19eur. This said, we were very hungry so we paid. But seriously? 2. We tried to sit outside. Busy but we found a spot. We had to ask to get the table we wanted cleaned. And when we sat, the tables are so close together that you can litteraly take part in your neighbours conversation ! 3. The food arrived pretty fast, which is cool. I just noticed a piece of calcinated bread under my sandwich. Probably from another sandwich before. Which raises the question of the kitchen. Is that cleaned up regularly? 4. The waitress was nice, no worries a about that. 5. The place is down my house so it’s super practical to go for brunch on Sunday morning. All in all I give the place 3 stars because everytime I go there is something negative to say. But overall if you have money to spend and you don’t mind taking part in an italian conversation, that’s the place to go !

Absolut bester Brownie seit langem! Kann ich nur empfehlen!
