Somewhat lifeless concert venue. They book pretty decent international acts and have good sound, but the atmosphere is much better elsewhere. It also seems like the ticket prices are a bit higher here – probably since it’s in the center of Dublin’s favorite tourist trap.
If a band you’re really into comes to play, it’s worthwhile, but the TBMC isn’t a place I’d go to check out bands I’ve only heard a little of. Saw Maceo Parker here and it was great, but also saw a ton of completely forgettable gigs.
