I like Crowbar a lot. My first time here was not long after it had opened and I really liked the feel of the place. The music was chilled. The lighting the nice side of dim. Fast forward two years and I wonder why I’ve not been back here sooner. Same cool décor. Same cool lighting. We’ve always managed to get a seat here before we go into a gig in the Button Factory, handy. It’s perfect for a pre-gig drink. You can even bring your drinks from Crowbar into the Button Factory. Just make sure you put it in a plastic cup first. They also stock Aspalls cider. Which is good and bad. Good cos it tastes great. Bad cost it tastes great. 5.5% great — yikes! Recommended.

Very cute and comfortable little place in Temple Bar. If I lived in Dublin I would hesitate to say this as I wouldn’t want it to become annoyingly packed in here, but since I fly out to tomorrow I’ll share the news: small bar with barstools, tables, couches and comfy chairs has around 10 beers on tap and a great cocktail selection. They do a 2 for 10 euro cocktail of the week, as well. And it’s a relatively quiet, not annoying place in Temple Bar! Does it really exist? Swing by and find out.
