Hands down the most fulfilling breakfast I had during my stay in Dublin. This quaint place is a great way to start your morning at a very reasonable price. I ate at a wide variety of places and I held a few standards.(1) generous portion sizes,(2) good authentic irish joint,(3) reasonable prices. This was the only place that fit all three, but also has the added benefit of being in a very aesthetically pleasing venue. Couldn’t recommed this place enough. You should definitely eat here.

What a little gem; not quite fancy — not quite greasy spoon. Just straight up food at excellent prices. Veggie breakfast is massive and of a high quality, in particular the homemade bread. Staff were friendly but not invasive, efficient but not rushed. The music was right up my street too, no chart rubbish and at the perfect volume. I’m never usually in this part of town but this morning was an exception — I would definitely return.

Fantastic service, was greeted at the door, brought my food by the chef himself, and those plus a relaxing and soothing atmosphere truly made me want to stay. Their breakfast was spectacular! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who asks!

Wonderful nice place to have good Irish breakfast. Everything is perfect including the food, service and caffeine. We loved it; it was closed to our hotel. The prices are so descent. The tables are made of sewing machines. Will visit again while staying at Dublin. Try the Irish scone; its superb.

This is a nice little café just past the top of O’ Connell street which I decided to try out as it was close to Temple Street Children’s hospital where I was studying. The staff were very friendly and welcoming which was a nice start. I ordered a double shot Americano which was pretty good and at a fairly generous size. The café is quite petite inside but the seating is quite nice and there are seats outside as well. I noticed that many people getting a full Irish breakfast here, and the scrambled eggs looked really good. They have a fairly extensive menu for both breakfast and lunch as well as a deli and cakes. The prices are pretty decent to ranging from around € 7~15. By the way, to use the toilets you have to ask the staff for the key. I was waiting outside a locked empty toilet thinking there was someone inside until the girl came and gave me the key!

Spent 8 days all over Ireland and had my favorite full breakfast here. Friendly staff, even offered to put my friend’s breakfast back in the oven to keep it warm while he was on the phone outside. Will come back every time I’m in Dublin.

Wound up here at 8am after a redeye flight from the U.S. and was really impressed. I clumsily ordered a regular coffee(I admit, I’m the lame American who isn’t familiar with other countries’ coffee standards) and the server/barista offered a Café Americano, which was exactly what I needed. I also got«The Regular» breakfast, which was a classic hearty breakfast — bacon, sausage, mushrooms, grilled tomato, beans, and toast. I immediately noticed how fresh several items tasted — in particular the butter, coffee, and bread. Totally hit the hunger spot and for the price, was perfect for me. The total was, I think, about 12 Euro for a big meal and two Café Americanos. Good stuff!

Love this little cozy place. The waitress who worked there was friendly and welcoming. We ordered the«Full Breakfast»(about 8 euros) and were not disappointed! You get 2 sausages, half a tomato, a fried egg, a serving of beans, generous slices of ham, a thick pancake, deliciously seasoned mushrooms, and a white pudding and a black pudding patty. Toast, butter, and jams also came with the order. Even the toast was savory! Definitely stopping by here next time I’m in Dublin.

Unfortunately, our breakfast(yes, we were lured here by Unilocal) was nothing spectacular. Owner was pleasant enough, but food(full Irish breakfast, scrambled eggs, etc) was nothing to write home about — and in case of scrambled eggs tasted like it came from a pre-made powder egg mix. Also, we had to wait to pay despite asking for a check several times, because people continued coming in and ordering(which is understandable), and owner was busy taking orders and trying to find a place for them and prepping some take-out orders — which didn’t make any sense because if she let us check out there would be one more free table. Finally I got tired of sitting around, got in line and paid — still no check though, just some amount the owner quickly calculated.

Although a bit of a snug little place, this was a great find near our hotel — affordable, tasty, friendly staff, and breakfast is served all day… never a bad thing if you want to sleep in a bit while on holiday Definitely recommend this spot if you’re in the area — it was SO much better than our hotel breakfast option, that we plan on picking up take out before heading to the airport tomorrow!

1We popped on here on our first morning in Dublin. It was gorgeous and rainy. I had bookmarked this place because of great reviews and it was near our hotel. We came here and it was fairly full, but some people got up and we got one of those sweet sewing machine tables! We ordered one of the full Irish/regular and some eggs, bacon, and toast. We also grabbed some sodas from the cooler because we aren’t exactly coffee and tea people. The food came out pretty fast and the people are extremely nice. Everything we had was delicious and well priced which was a nice change from London! I will definitely come back here because I am obsessed with the bacon, eggs, and toast. Yes, the toast was the bomb diggity. I know that’s strange, but the toast was great and they use thick, multigrain bread. It’s a cute setup with yummy food so definitely come here if you can stop by.

Nice coffee. Had a cappuccino and it was lovely. Their scones are everything I want in a scone. The only thing I would criticise is that the girl gave me one pat of butter for a huge scone! You need at least 2! My daughter had a chocolate biscuit cake which was tasty.

Very nice place to have a relaxed breakfast or just a coffee(which is very good). Scones are surprisingly big and good; and the scrambled eggs were flawless. Good location.

Cosy, welcoming café on the Northside, conveniently located near some great attractions — the Garden of Remembrance, Hugh Lane Gallery, Dublin Writer’s Museum and the James Joyce centre are all no more than a five minute walk away. I was thoroughly impressed by the all day vegetarian breakfast, for only a fiver! It was served promptly, piping hot and was very good value as it filled me up for hours afterward. I had it with a pot of green tea(€ 2.30). There are a handful of tables outside too for smokers. They also serve soups, and make sandwiches to order. The staff are warm and friendly — I didn’t have to rifle through my bag in the queue to pay, she told me I could pay for it after I’d eaten.

All day Irish breakfast! My first Irish breakfast on my first and hopefully not my last trip to Ireland. This lovely place is a short walk away from the museums and therefore a great place to walk to and fuel up before you start your day. The people are friendly, the food comes out fast and it was pretty nice, the coffee was actually alright given what I had been warned of what Irish coffee would be like, and the people watching– excellent.

Apart from The fact that they forgot my breakfast(and gave it to another guy) at first, they very nicely offered a spare toast. Food was ok for an Irish breakfast and it comes with tea or coffee. Do not forget to bring cash if you go there as they do not accept credit card and you will have to walk 10 minutes to go the nearest Spar!

The Lovinspoon is a quirky coffee house/café nestled in the north side of Dublin. Appearance wise it is totally a hipster joint with old sewing machine tables and an Infant of Prague wearing sunglasses but the customers all seemed like locals from old guys to young people. Not a hipster in sight! I had the small plate with a pancake instead of toast and it was still more than enough for me and my husband cleaned his big breakfast plate. Everything was cooked fresh and the staff were very friendly. The also randomly had root beer which made me happy! If you are staying around Mountjoy or Parnell square I’d definitely recommend popping in for breakfast! Just note they are cash only.
