This is right beside my bus stop, so I wandered in a couple of days ago — and found a warm atmosphere and a very badly needed cup of tea. The décor is a little tired but the woman behind the counter had a lovely line in lively patter — and the tea and muffin cost just € 3. Not bad. Not bad at all…

As the name implies, TJ’s is a coffee bar, offering sit-in and take-out service. The coffee does kick in nicely and the sandwiches come at a fair price, but the atmosphere is nothing special. With the range of cosy coffeehouses around, we Dubliners are really spoiled with choices and TJ’s is just like hundreds of other mediocre café’s around. Wouldn’t recommend it for anything else than take-away.
