Not often that I go for five stars but there’s no hesiation here. I hadn’t been here for over seven years so when friends suggested to go here for dinner I was very happy — and anxious if it was still as good as it used to be. — I didn’t get disappointed. We were a group of seven and all went for mezze, three different kinds — you can imagine the amount of bowls coming out for us… And we managed to clean almost all of them, despite that being quite a challenge. We were all more than happy with the tastes and variations available. And I was very happy to see it was still as good as I remembered. The staff was friendly, cheerful and relaxed and added to a lovely evening with friends. It’s not cheap to come here but well worth the money spent.

Kinda sad that people in Dublin might think this is what Lebanese food is like. Maybe I am too spoiled(coming from LA where there are AMAZING Lebanese food every where) but this place didn’t even have the right dressing for the fattoush salad! The salad greens seemed to be wilted and not fresh. Even with the lamb dish we ordered the food came out within 3 minutes! We were suspecting that they were pre-made. Lamb was just OKAY too. Nothing special, I wouldn’t recommend it.

It’s my destination whenever I miss Arabic food. They have the best hommus with beef. Cheese sambousk and yogurt and cucumber salad. We also tried Calmari which was so good and the list goes on. They have starters as in tapas style which is enough for 2 – 3 people and is so filling. And they serve other chicken kofta, kebab and loads of goodies! Yum Prices are reasonable for the portions and the quality you get

Despite all the good reviews, I didn’t find the food to great here. I ordered the vegetable mezze which came with falafel, salad, hummus and spinach filled samosa-like dumplings which wasn’t bad but I found the falafel slightly too dry. The hummus was really nice though, and tasted great spread on the pita bread. My friend had falafel which she loved, and the portions here are pretty big too. The prices were a bit on the steep side but not crazily expensive, however I found that with the overall quality it could have been a bit cheaper. The inside of the restaurant is pretty big with lots of seats, but for some reason we were put at the very back corner which I didn’t like too much, but oh well. The service in my opinion was not that great; the waitress was quite shrewd and didn’t come across as as friendly as I had expected, but at least they were efficient and the food arrived fairly quickly. I would say this restaurant seems better for groups were you can order a bunch of things or a platter and share as there is great variety and the servings are large too. But it wouldn’t be the best middle eastern cuisine I’ve had, so I’ll give it 3 stars.

We had reservations for Saturday night and were lucky we did, because it was packed. Everyone at the table went for the platter, which included a massive amount of food for about € 30 each. You get a lot of dishes to share, which is my favourite way to eat. It’s fun and social and alleviates any tension derived from food envy! We were going to get a bottle of Rioja, but on the recommendation of the server, we opted for a bottle of Lebanese red wine instead. It was a great blend and quite reasonable at € 30. Then the appies were served and the selection all laid out filled our entire table. All the dips were delicious(mixed opinions about the smoked aubergine dip, but I personally liked it) but the hummous shawarma on Lebanese bread was a unanimous favourite. By the time the mixed grill plate was served, we were all pretty full and packed most of it to take-away. We finished off our meal with Lebanese coffees all around. It was my first time trying Lebanese coffee, which is coffee ground with cardamom and served in a boiling pot. It was dark, aromatic and delicious. I’d love to come back but next time we will order off the a la carte menu.

Food was expensive but I only had a main and it was super super good. It was a lamb kebab concoction that i can’t remember the name of with delicious sauces on the side. If that was all I had this would be a five star review but I also had desert that was a sort of biscuit and cream combo. The cream was ok but the biscuit did not taste good at all and I couldnt finish it. I thought it was a waste of money and it brought the whole meal down a bit in my eyes. But I’d go again just for the delicious main course which was truly lovely

High prices, but the quality service and delicious food makes it worth it! I loved my entire experience here, which included wine, tons of starters, and sharing mains! We went on a Friday night without booking, and they were eager to have us despite having plenty of patrons! Excellent way to start your meal, by being welcomed! Our food came pretty quickly and hot! I’d recommend the baba ganoush and the kebabs. I don’t think anything disappointed food wise! The menu is extensive so order a bunch of things to get a sense of how awesome the chefs are. I will be back!

Very good food, especially the hummus and falafel Beautiful, amazing mosaic art on the walls Reasonable prices I am vegan and gluten-free, and came with my mom who is not vegetarian. We both had a great time. Even though this place does serve a lot of meat, their veg options are great. Would definitely recommend to any vegetarians or vegans, or anyone who just likes good Lebanese food.

J’s colleague brought us here when we were visiting Dublin for our potential move abroad. 2 years later, this is still one of my favourite places to get my chicken shawarma fix. We typically stop in for wraps to take away but we have dined in as well. The prices are reasonable and the food for us has been consistently good. Give it a try!

One of my favorite place to have a good arabic food. I went woth a group of 6 and we had the combo, which allowed us to try a lot of different kinds of food. The staff was nice and as price was okay. I found the decoration romantic and with some kind of charme. Is a different and good place for your first date. Definitely looking forward to come back.

In a word– overpriced. I dined here with three other friends and we ordered a spread of mezzes but only one entrée. It came out to more than 30 Euro/head and we didn’t even order alcohol. Portions are small and some dishes(the Falafel comes to mind) simply miss the mark. If you have a hankering for middle eastern food I suggest trying Umi which is just around the corner from this place.

What? How have I not reviewed them yet in all my years in Dublin? I really love this restaurant. My Arab friends and myself often come here. Whenever my team gets a visitor from other offices, we bring them here. If you want authentic Lebanese food in Dublin, this is where you will find it. I can’t stress that enough. I’ve tried all of the Lebanese restaurants here, and they’re all pretty good, but this one is the best. My favorite plates would be the hummus(clearly), the cheese rolls. For a salad, get a tabbouleh or fattoush. The arayiss are also delicious. For mains, my go to would be the chicken mahshi. It is half a chicken with rice, with some cashew nuts and delicious sauce. They have an early bird that’s great value, but they also have nice meal deals for two people, which have some mezze and main course. They also have a lunch deal that is very cheap for all the food you get. TL;DR: The staff are friendly, the owners are lovely, the food is delicious.

I had the most perfect meal here. We ordered a ton of starters – Cucumber & Yoghurt, Tabouleh, Hummus Billahem(the one with lamb on it), and the fried Kibbeh and got a Chicken Shawarma for main course and they were all so good! The service was great and the staff were friendly. I have always enjoyed Lebanese food but Cedar Tree makes an exceptionally good meal and if you find yourself near the area – you should definitely stop by. Definitely make a reservation before you go here(especially on weekends) since it gets pretty crowded.

I love lebanese food and I have been in this place twice for early bird during my break time. Food is full of flavor and the prices are very welcoming. I love their feta cheese salad, the best ever.

Must be 20 years since I’d last been here. Remembered why when our mezze was served. It was pretty ordinary, bland and each dish tasted pretty much like another. Salads and hummus bulked out the fare and meat of any variety was in pretty short supply. The Pinot Grigio was good — hard to screw that up — and the service was friendly and efficient. Just under € 100 for two was just on the right side of OK. It might be another 20 years before I go back though.

Average restaurant with decent menu. However, I didn’t like the food, especially the rice was very hard and not properly cooked last time I went and the shewarma was okey ish. I wouldn’t suggest it for those who like Arabic food as you can experience better food in Dublin.

Very mixed experiences for other Unilocalers so I’m glad I am one of the lucky ones who had an amazing meal here. Myself and my friend(who has a lot of family in Lebanon) ordered a mix of dishes to create our own mezze, and none disappointed. From tasty salad with crisp breads turned through it to divine spinach parcels, everything was lovely, with the exception of the coffee, but I think it was just a personal taste thing as I refuse to accept texture in a hot drink! A surprise was the wine. I’d never had Lebanese wine before but really enjoyed the € 12.50 carafe we got. Added to the above the staff were really lovely and had not been reduced to bitterness by the insanity of the Xmas season at all :-)

If you like Greek or Lebanese food, then this is the place for you! I have walked by here for years, but was never tempted until a friend suggested we try it. I was sceptical right up until I opened the door when I was hit with the most amazing aroma. We ordered the Mezze(6 to choose from) and had out table filled with small dishes in no time. The dips and meats were delicious(make sure to try the baba ghanoush) and were accompanied by the house Lebanese white wine. Delicious, don’t think twice about visiting.

There are a lot of Lebanese restaurant in my home town(Belgium) but the cedar tree is just amazing ! Me and my boyfriend had taken the lunch(11euros) with starter and main dish. I was already full after my hummus starter… But when my(enormous) cinnamon chicken arrived, it was so good that I easily finish it even if I wasn’t hungry anymore… I wish I could go back again !!
