On my dinner break one evening, I had a sudden longing for spaghetti bolognaise so I thought I’d make it my mission to trawl through temple bar to find an italian which did take away. I found one down Adsille’s row after reading a few window menus. When they said they did spag bol and take-away, my little heart lifted. Albeit not for long. The service staff consisted of 2 girls. One who could take orders but couldn’t input them on the till and another who could use the till but couldn’t take orders. After many key presses and cancellations on the till while trying to run food, my spag bol order travelled about 6 feet to a reciept machine beside a flustered sweaty chef in a chipper-style open plan kitchen, I though«right, off for a quick pint while I wait for my grub.» After a swift Arthur in the hard rock, I went back to retrieve my much anticipated spag bol. I was given a long aluminium tray in a bag. The type you’d get a long tray special in when visiting a chinese take-away. I asked if this was the spaghetti or the sauce to which I was told«BOTH». On returning to work, I opened the miserly portion(it was € 12.95!!) and found a sort of sloppy gruelly mess not quite, but almost entirely unlike spaghetti bolognaise. I ate it anyway but not before telling all my punters how robbed I felt and spent the rest of the evening giving Italian customers filthies. The only reason I give a star at all is because it’s quaint and pretty. In future, I’ll have a long tray special out of Charlie’s and 2 pints of Arthur in the Hard rock!

Excellent food, very fresh, very well-presented. Waiting staff friendly in patches, but could be more a little more helpful especially to international visitors. No record of reservation made ten days previously for family occasion. But go in the evening 8 ish for the view of the Ha’penny Bridge as night draws in. Congrats to the Chef.
