Went there for dinner on a Saturday night: — Waitress was extremely pleasant and extremely helpful. — The food is great– it’s a classic menu but the execution is very solid. Presentation is also really good. — The décor is quite nice– interesting features. All in all, I would really recommend Richmond and I can’t wait to be back !

What a great gem. Not too far a walk from the Hilton Dublin I stayed at for the holidays. The food was delicious, and presented like a Michelin starred restaurant. There is definite attention to detail, while providing a very laid back and cozy atmosphere. Room for only about 25 guests. Make reservations! This is sure to be a tough table to get soon. Only open three weeks. We tried the goat cheese, lamb neck and gnocchi — all three were fantastic. Russell took care of our table, providing exceptional service while asking preference questions to assist in guiding us through the menu, ensuring our selections were paired to our tastes. Overall excellent experience. Will definitely recommend to others.

I’ve been lucky enough to have eaten at Richmond twice this week, for dinner two days ago and for brunch today, and it’s barely just open! It’s always exciting when a new restaurant opens in the neighborhood, but especially so when it’s the kind of place you can become a regular at, and I think this is the case for Richmond. First I have got to say that the owner is charming and makes the experience of eating here very welcoming at relaxed. He used to run the Butcher’s Grill in Ranelagh, so he is no newcomer to the new wave of modern Irish restaurants in Dublin. The room is delightfully decorated for Christmas and has a lovely cosy vibe, while still being modern and fresh. We were seated at the window both times which was lovely. Most people walking by had a peep in and checked out the menu, so we felt very special. The food was delicious. Especially the dinner. I had the mussels to start, which were very tasty but my friend had the scallops which I got to taste and they were amazing. I am definitely getting them next time. Then I had the gnocchi which I loved. They were not exactly traditional style gnocchi because the potato was a lot smoother and maybe didn’t have all that much flour but they were very tasty all the same and I really loved the flavour and the meatiness of the mushrooms that came with the dish. To finish, we shared the date pudding which was really amazing. I love anything that has a little salt and sweetness together. I forgot to mention that some complimentary warm sweet onion bread and rosemary butter was brought to our table. It really made the whole experience wonderful. Who wouldn’t fall for warm bread and butter? The brunch was very tasty as well. My partner did have the salmon and avocado dish that he enjoyed but left him a little hungry afterwards but I had the grill which was very satisfying. All in all, I really love this place already. I think it’s really what the neighborhood needs, not just another brunch place only open during the day, and not overly set into one style of food. Somewhere you can come to regularly and enjoy a new special or come back to one of your favorite dishes. And somewhere welcoming with friendly staff. I am looking forward to trying the wine next time!
