This Number 1 Shop is not really number 1 in my eyes! It’s fine for milk, coffee to go, newspapers and magazines but not really for much else. All the food is too expensive — I guess it’s meant to be a convenience store so they hike up the prices. A tin of tuna costs nearly double what it would in Tesco down the road. There is a cold food/​sandwich counter as well and everything always looks awful. The coleslaw seems like it’s been there for weeks. They do some frozen food too but again, it’s dearer than it would be in other shops. Ditto with wine. So get your basics here if you must — but be careful of the cost.
