I always wanted to visit Dublin and got a lot of positive recommendations from my friends. Finally arrived yesterday in Dublin to some of my friends for a week and friday 13 we were out in the center for the and entered in the lara’s butique to see some dresses. Unfortunately there was a blonde shopping assistant with frustrations over the roof. there was just a «what the fuck are you looking at» and«get the fuck out of this store» 30 seconds moment and I just got out dazed of this hell experience. Avoid this shop if you want to be treated like a customer. (sorry to repost this but I’ve never experienced such an unprofessional behaviour in any country or place I’ve ever been)

I used to think that you couldn’t make a lot of mistakes with designer fashion and then I walked into Lara. As Kate said, the shop is full of designer clothes, but like TK Maxx it’s garish and loud designer clothes and unlike TK Maxx in Lara you pay full price for them. I spent a good while looking through the clothes on the racks but there was absolutely nothing I would have considered even trying on. On a more positive note, the shop assistant was pretty nice to me if a bit pushy. Still, if you count Jordan or Michelle Heaton among your idols, Lara could be a great shop for you. I don’t think I’ll be back though.

Ideal for finding a formal dress for a wedding, debs, prom or 21st. It’s glamorous and pretty pricey but very good quality and lovely, original finds. They have a range of different styles of dresses and always have the hottest trends and colours of the season. Keep an eye out for the sales on the weekends, you may have to root around but you’ll definitely find a bargain!

Lara is a tricky one… from the outside, it looks and sounds great. An exclusive boutique with labels such as DVB(Victoria Beckham’s denim range), Guess and Just Cavalli and lots of high profile celebs clients, you would expect it to be really high class and amazing. Well, it’s not. I just think it’s really cheap looking clothes at crazy prices. Yes, there are a few nice bits and pieces, but everything is very in your face and gaudy. When you’re charging the guts of € 300 for a pair of jeans, they’d want to be pretty amazing jeans… like do they give you a brand new bum? Cause if not, I’m going to topshop to get some for € 60. Oh, and as for the celeb clients — with the likes of Jordan, Michelle Heaton and Ireland’s very own Lisa Fitzpatrick as fans of Lara, that kind of says it all really. Miaow!
