This place seems to be always busy, probably for their location. Plenty of space to seat in also they do take away option which is great. Nice selection of food but a little overpriced. Jaffa serves good selection of fusion Thai food. I’ve tried few different curries and not always I was satisfied. My favourite was Thai yellow curry. Also from the noodles selection the best so far was Pad Thai. Two gents behind the till are friendly and keeping all place together. Very professional. Sometimes I get feeling that this place is understaffed, judging by the staff, flying around! Over all experience is good. I would go there few times a month for my yellow curry or the Pad Thai.

Despite the listed hours, they actually close at 4:30PM. I found this out because the staff turned off all the lights in the shop and started locking up the front gate without telling me. Decent coffee, surprisingly poor service.

First time I’ve visited this coffe shop… Stuff was rude, not friendly, and caramel macchiato coffee wasnt good… Try to avoid it in the future=)

Delicious coffee and great location right on the river and entrance to Fleet Street. Quite handy locale. The touch of cinnamon on the cappuccino is very tasty.

This place is handy as it’s halfway between where I and my brother work so it’s a regular rendezvous for us. It’s not the sort of place where you expect to pick up a very decent stir fry for a spot on price but it’s what I usually go for here when hungry but it’s also a café so good for an auld coffee and bun if that’s your fancy (Unfortunately, I’ve never thought to take a picture of anything here so I’ll leave it to your imagination haha)

Such a pity. The food is great, really tasty thai food, nice sandwiches, but the service is consistently awful. In the last week I’ve been in there twice, due to having a head cold and needing something spicy and convenient. Both times I’ve been left waiting for my takeaway for 15 – 20 minutes. The first time it happened the cashier didn’t apologise but told me I should download the app and order before I arrived, despite the place being fairly empty. The second time, I was asked four times what I had ordered. I was standing next to a couple who had been waiting longer than me, both of them saying they would never come back. In the months previous to these events, I have had my orders consistently forgotten, mixed-up, or cold by the time I got it. However! Previous to the current JaffaThai rebrand, I found the service friendly and efficient. Maybe they should work on the service instead of rebranding every six months.

When I lived on the Quays, I’d start my weekday mornings by grabbing a take-away cup in Jaffa and then run like hell to catch the bus to UCD. When I had time, I’d grab a bagel to go for my lunch, as I can’t say I’m a big fan of UCD eateries. I was always happy with the service, the coffee is nice and strong, and the BLT’s, yum! The ingredients look fresh, as you’ll later taste with the first bite. CAn easily recommend this place for a quick bite.

I really like Jaffa’s turkey and cranberry bagel, but BEWARE! They have a 5 euro deal which includes a sandwich, hot drink and packet of crisps but bagels are not included in this. If you ask for the 5 euro special and then order a bagel, the staff will make your bagel and coffee run it up on the till before you find out you didn’t get the special, even though you specifically requested it. Hmmmm I know this isn’t a 5 star restaurant, but a bit of communication wouldn’t go astray. However, if you order within the ‘any sandwich’ parameters, this is a great deal and well worth it. Once I get over the shame of my faux pas, I will be back for more turkey and cran.
